On each platform there are about 10 ticket scanners (12 if you count the Wheel chair entrance gates that don't have scanners) as shown here you can count you lies..
As for the ticketing area, I will tag you when I bring evidence to the contrary.... We know you are a Kenyan hater, so don't try to make up some bogus reasons for hating!

Pugu na Dar tofauti si ni kama 20km ??? Hio ni sawa na mimi niseme Nairobi tuko na Nairobi station na Athi River station ambazo ziko 18km apart, au Kule Mombasa Ambako stesheni ya Mombasa na Mariakani zimeachana na 25km
Na hizo daraja mbili nyembamba unaziongeleaje? Is Athi river in Nairobi? BTW Pugu station will cater very well to traffic going to JNIA from Coast region! N northern Dar!
You have an elevated platform for the train, we have two bridges for people... People occupy much less space so I don't know what you are going on about comparing the two

Huku Kwetu unaweza ku book SGR kwa kutumia USSD code ya *369#, pia unaweza ku book online na unatumiwa ticket number kwa simu... Lakini siku ya kusafiri kabla upande reli lazima uwe na "Bording pass" hio bording pass/ticket hakuna namna nyengine ya kuipata hadi wewe mwenyewe ujipeleke kwa ATM na uweke ticket number alafu ndo ina print boarding pass yako .
Kama huyu hapa unaona ana print ticket yake kwa hiyo ATM,
Kwahivyo upunguze ushamba, hata ukisafiri na ndege au hata na bus sikuhizi, unaweza book na ulipie ticketi yako mtandaoni, lakini siku ya kusafiri hauwezi ukaonyesha message uliyotumiwa kwa simu wakati wa kupanda ndege, lazima uwe na karatasi ya boarding pass... Unafikiri hio pass inapatwa wapi?
