Hey Eliakeem, we all have our own problems as countries within our borders, Tanzania is no exception, the problems may vary depending on locallity, be it land, tribalism, corruption e.t.c at the end of the day what counts is what is being done to address the problems at hand, what lessons have we learnt from the problems and the mistakes we have done.

What fascinates me is the way most of you fruits think that you are better off than Kenya.. after all the problems weve had, all the detentions, high profile assassinations, endemic corruption, civil unrest, famine etc, we still manage to hold it together, be a force to reckon with economically within this region, thats an achievement. On the other hand look at Tanzania, you've had peace, minimum corruption, large arable land but still compete with Kenya ( a country that has had poor leadership since independence). We still give you a run for your money business wise, you have a problem and need to address it, your media is not making the situation better, it makes you live in a mirage, unaware of your problems, making the population become less involved in active politics and just debate rumours from tabloids. You leave in denial and its about time you wake up and smell the coffee, you should be the biggest economy in EA, but you are being challenged by countries like Kenya and you are still shamelessly crying for more time to be at par with us. That is why you see many countries wanting to join you, simply because you can not manage all the minerals you have and all that idle land, so people want to convert that to money and develop their countries coz it seems you are not interested.

Now I got you, so your screaming for eac in order to plunder and rob our inheritance. For this note, then we are right to have negative altitude towards you and considering you as the adversaries. Coz I was thinking may be the member states (including their people) need to have somewhat win-win situation in eac, whereby each party benefit mutually.

However,
Ningewashauri, fight for that huge economic descripance among your people, which is triggering the class struggle in your territory. Mungiki and the like are the product of the phenomenon.

Think on how to stop once and for all sorts of depriving your fellow kenyans. You have been devastating your fellow now and then. I heard that for you the term ''HUMANITY AND EQUALITY'' is a vocabulary. Smatta (na wenzako wote) learn how to use these terms, they are more than crucial in drawing together the nation.

Mwisho smatta, much are needed to fight against corruption. It's not enough for the herald to point out for scandal occured. only writing that there is anglo leasing or maize scandle haitoshi, bring them for trial.

What you need is to focus on ''DISTRIBUTIVE LAND REFORM'' and NOT ''THE LAND ADJUDICATION'' THAT YOU ARE CURRENTLY DOING.

u have hit the nail on the head. that is the sark dark reality tanzanians have to face and own up to wether they like it or not.

wait till kenyans gets hold of those tanzanites and we get into the supply chain of the tanzanites, other countries will start thinking the tanzanites come from kenya just like the way they think kilimanjaro is in kenya.

making money is the name of the game and tanzanians are pathetic at it and the sad thinkg is that they dont wanna learn!!!!!!!

A number of foreigners are involved in a land syndicate to rob local people of beach plots in the controversial Chembe Kibabamche/Kilifi-Jimba area, Malindi MP Mr Gideon Mung'aro has said.

The foreigners whom he threatened to name in public on Jamhuri Day on December 12 are working in collaboration with the Malindi municipal council, he said.

He warned them to keep off Malindi politics and land issues "lest they regret it soon" and instead urged them to concentrate on genuine investment.

The MP who is a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Local authorities accused the council of corruption saying it had failed to account for Sh 52 million dispatched to the council under the Local Authority Service Delivery Programme (Lasdap) during the last Financial Year.

"The committee will soon descend on the Malindi municipal council and dig out the dirt. If the Parliamentary committee on Local Authorities finds that public money was actually embezzled, no one will be spared," he said.

An angry Mr Mung'aro said if public funds will have been misused, he would ask residents to stop paying tax "to the corrupt council".

He accused the local authority of failing to mend a single road despite spending Sh 20 million recently adding that the foreigners were "deeply in the scandal".

He urged residents to demand answers to questions on the usage of public funds adding that the funds under the MP's docket had clear records to show how they were spent. He encouraged residents to visit the CDF and MP's offices to peruse documents on how funds have been used.

The MP made the remarks at Watamu Seventh Day Adventist Junior School when he helped raise Sh 177,161.50 in aid of a laboratory on Sunday. He was accompanied by five councillors.

He was reacting to reports that a section of the councillors had ganged up against him with a view to challenging him for the Malindi Parliamentary seat in 2012..

"I want wananchi to ask these councillors what they have to show for LASDAP. To me, they are a bunch of thieves and I will deal with them squarely. They had better be prepared for a real battle because I will spare none of them," he said during an interview after the meeting.

He said the councillors were being sponsored "and misused by a few Italian land brokers" out to acquire land illegally and later sell it to foreigners at exorbitant price.

"They should know that there is a Ministry of Lands Task Force working on the Chembe Kibabamche/Jimba-Gede squatter problem. Let them not interfere with the work through illegal land acquisition because they might end up losing millions of shillings like other foreigners have before them," he said.

Relationships went sour five months ago when former mayor Mr Mohamed Menza whom the MP had supported for a second term earlier, was defeated by Sabaki ward councillor Mr Samson Mapinga who was also a close ally of the MP.

A major fall-off between the councillors and the MP emerged when Mr Mapinga abandoned Mr Mung'aro after election and joined the camp of a renegade group of 10 out of the 17 civic leaders opposed to the MP.

The 10 councillors led by Mr Mapinga and Central ward councillor Mr Mohamed Aziz have been heard in several public places saying they would front one of their own to oppose the incumbent in the 2012 elections.

A secret meeting of the opponent's camp two weeks ago however, ended in disarray when some of them disagreed over the idea of nominating one candidate to challenge the incumbent. Those in disagreement stormed out of the meeting.

May be I am naive, or may be I am optimistic, but to simply tell us that kwa miaka 10 ya jumuiya ya Afrika Mashariki tunasherekea wimbo wa jumuia does not sit well with me. Katika matangazo ya asubuhi leo BBC wamekuwa wakiunadi sana huo wimbo na kuelezea kuwa umechukua zaidi ya mwaka kuutunga. Sina uhakika kama tunaenda mbele au tunarudi tulikotoka.

Wimbo is just fine as an identity, tuko nchi 5 ikitokea shughuli zippigwe nyimbo 5!?. Nimeusikia umekaa na tune za Kikenya kama wimbo wao wa taifa, ila lazima tukubali jumuiya ni kama ndoa, lazima tukubali kusacrifice ili kukaa pamoja, kwenye hili la wimbo, tukubali wakenya wana upper hand, tusubiri bendera.

Kwa maoni yangu kuwepo kwa wimbo wa Jumuiya si hoja. Kosa ninalo liona mimi ni kuwa walio utunga walikuwa na oportunity ya kutunga wimbo ambao ni uniquely african, wangetumia instruments za ki-Afrika kama zeze, nzumari, nyatiti n.k.

But why are we going for this union in first place? Whom do we want to please?

Ili uendelee unahitaji Watu, ardhi, siasa safi na uongozi bora. Sio walafi na Mafisadi wanaofikiria ukiwa na manoti basi wewe utakuwa umeendelea. Kenyans walivunja EAC wakifikiria kwamba wataendelea baada ya miaka 25 bado wako watumwa wa Waingereza hawana ardhi, yote ilinunuliwa na malkia. Ardhi ni mali ya walafi wachache.

Watanzania ni wavumilivu ndio sababu wanawaangalia tu hawa nyang'aus watakapoanza ku-act wasije kulia. Urithi wa mababu zetu sio wa kuchezea chezea kama njugu na wale wote wanaofikiri Watanzania hatufahamu kinachoendelea wajiulize mara mbili mbili bila kuhofu. We are keen and patience on this issue because our lovely country (Tanzania) is not there for fifty years or so but for time infinity. So we avoid the history to haunt our future generation. To be blamed like Kenyatta for embracing robbery and depriving among the people of the same territory is not our culture.

So kyns perceive things at length, dont always be confined to think on capital, movement of leba, maketi, paspoti, kampanj, shares.
