if dar is not compared with nairobi, then that's good for you. but you can't deny the reality that nairobi is still a dirty and poverty stricken african city, you can't compare it with capetown, jor'burg, pretoria, Cairo, Algies etc. if you believe that only in nairobi you can find people of all nationalities, then you are brainwashed to the highest degree. you have people with nationalities in every country these days, a lot of people of different nationalities can be found in Nairobi, Dsm, kampala, kigali, zanzibar, Arusha everywhere. the problem of you kenyans is your brain, you brain is limited only to kenya, you have no knowledge of other areas outside kenya, thats why you believe nairobi is the best place to live...hahaha, pyyuuuuuuuuuuuuuufff

that's why we say, kenyan's brain is as small as that of a fish or hen. because you have seen beggers in nairobi who identify themselves as from tanzania, you believe all tanzanians are beggers, you forgot your chokoraa who throw shit on people's faces in nairobi, the dirtiest street people of all in the world. unaficha sura halafu unaacha matakoo wazi...hahaha. no body is denying the fact that you have skyscrapers in nairobi. what you don't understand is that, there are skyscrapers also in Dsm, in kampala, in Lagos, in adis, in angola luanda, in maputo and others. better skyscrapers than those you find in your tribalist stricken country.

No, ofcos we know that our city of Nairobi isnt perfect. It has its challenges just like any other city in the world.
It wasnt wrong u pointing out those problems, but it was the manner in which u were doing it. U just wanted to disparage the city, exaggerate a little the problems just to reduce it as the worst city that has ever been.

When u toured Nairobi, u really only saw hungry pipo, shuffling in the streets? One Ugandan blogger was bewildered by the thousands of pipo seeming to be in a hurry to catch a flight! Hungry pipo really?
Did u only see garbage all around u? Where?
Dint u really see any recreational parks within the city?

Av been to London Glasgow, Chicago Montreal na Toronto, fuji - mount fuji is not even taller than menengai crater, av been to dubai, bucheresti, shanghai but still I will love Nairobi any day cause I have been here and know that 20yrs ago nairobi was a huge forest right know kila siku naamka nakupata a new building

7. Dar es Salaam, United Republic of Tanzania
The 17% of slum territory in Harare will seem
tiny when compared to the living conditions in
Tanzania’s capital Dar es Salaam: the coastal
capital is estimated to have a staggering 70%
of informal or slum settlements, according to
the UN. This is in part due to the massive
increase in population the city has seen in the
last 20 years; the population now stands at
over 4 million, whereas in the early 1990s it
has less than 2 million.
Such overcrowded living conditions naturally
breed disease and alongside this, most of the
residents do not have access to proper water
and sanitation facilities. Only a quarter of the
city’s population has access to the water
that's managed by the city council. Gender
discrimination and HIV/AIDS are also
highlighted as key areas of concern in the city.
Paradoxically however, Dar es Salaam is
experiencing significant growth which is, in
part, the cause of this slum growth. Income
inequality is a problem in this city; at the top
end of the scale an elite group of rich
households is emerging while life for the
average person in Dar es Salaam remains the
same or worsens.

The 4th largest in the sub-saharan Africa in terms of infrastructure development (The other 3 are all in SA) and more advanced than many western capitals. They can eat or deny that!
