F16 have been in operation for two years now our F 5s have undergone various upgrades by the help of the Israeli s and even bought some of their upgraded versions
 
A war is all about tactics not weapons or manpower. So, the country with a better tactical assault team is always fierce in the war zone. Weapons are meant to instill fear onto enemy's mind and then tactics comes along. That is why Israel won 6 day war. And that is why US failed in Afghanistan. If you have a well trained army, especially on war tactical aspect then weapons will be used even less.

Kulbiyo they repelled the attack though they suffered high number of casualties at around 50. at kulbiyo alshabaab lost over 1000 fighters in one battle.
The first town kdf took from alshabaab was Tabda hundreds of alshabaab died and only 1soldier was killed.
The second major Town was Belles kokani 20km from Tabda here British trained snipers provided long range support for the infantry.
Jillib was another major alshabaab strong hold which was taken by kdf
Dholbey,Ra'skamboni,Afmadow,Faffadam,Hayo,Arhmadow,Horsi,Hayo and Kismayu are just but a few among many that kdf liberated and none of them has ever been taken back.Normalcy returned to those towns paving way for NGOs and relief aid to reach the civilians
Ethiopia previously lost towns to alshabaab have suffered more casualties.
Kdf has demolarised alshabaab completely and even managed to create wars and inside leadership wrangles within alshabaab .
The isolated attacks happening in Kenya are carried out by alshabaabs sympathersiers in the NfD district due to geopolitical issues.
The frequency of the attacks have greatly reduced in the last 3yrs as a result ofthe weakened alshabaab.

Also Ug got a lot of help from US PMCs during their occupation but still couldn't make any headway. Apart from El Adde disaster i don't think we have ever suffered any serious losses.

It is only Egypt army in Africa which have F -16, you wanted to by used from Jordan by deal went wrong because you went bankrupt, show evidence if your old F-5 underwent upgrading, you know nothing even about your own country.
