ET has the advantage of Addis hosting the AU. So significant intra- Africa travel advantage.
They also have a larger fleet, relatively newer and their govt assists in purchase of planes.
ET has double the revenue of KQ clocking over 250b per year. Compare that with KQs 120b.
That said, KQ has suffered recently over ambitious expansion, hedging and other cash leaking behaviour. Lesson learnt.
I believe in 15-20 years with prudent expansion, KQ will surpass ET.
Remember ET has been enjoying direct flights to USA which KQ is yet to commence.

Nimefuatilia Thread kwa umakini na kuamini kuwa wakenya sio wanafiki wanakubali wazi kuwa ET ni better than KQ. Wenzetu wa kusini watakwambia ATCL ni better than KQ though hajawahi fika hata Entebbe.

One of the best answers......my take, watu wanauliza ki shabiki tu hasa ukichukulia ni kama poor wa tz na wa ke wanashindana in nonsense ways...
