After a difficult match against Las Palmas, Barcelona boss has admitted to be more than happy with the three points given the demands of the fixture list.
on the match against Las Palmas...
“Today we have put in a more effective performance than usual. With a game every three days all we can ask is that we keep competing. There was no lack of rhythm to the game. At some moments, given we were on the attack, we suffered more on the counter than is normal. The up and down nature of the game in the last 10 minutes came because Las Palmas were looking for the equaliser, we had chances to close the game out as well.”
on any possible improvements...
“We can be more or less sharp in front of goal but I’m happy with what I have seen- Obviously we can improve things, we have extended our lead [in the league] and we will have to see what the others do.”
on why Barcelona couldn't score more...
“Their goalkeeper, Javi Varas was excellent. We were better in the second half, we were more compact but if you don’t close the match out then you give your opponent a chance to equalise.”
