tulipoteza ile game ila refa kwa kiasi tupoteze.

Barcelona’s title hopes in La Liga took an almighty dent on Saturday night after a damaging defeat to Málaga which saw Luis Enrique’s side miss the chance to move level on points with Real Madrid.

In a game full of incidents, Luis Suárez, the world’s best No.9 on Wednesday, missed three one-on-one chances, while Neymar picked up his first Barcelona red card and Sergi Roberto was denied a late penalty. It was that kind of evening.

Lucho branded the result “unfair”, hitting out at the match officials for Neymar’s two bookings and claimed his side should have been given a spot kick.

"I think the interpretation of yellow cards is special," he said. "We have to take a lot of care in these types of games because I think there were ugly challenges from behind which clearly deserved bookings; other things such as tying your boots... If we book players for this, we have to book players for everything.

"It's curious that a team like us that doesn't usually kick people get so many yellow cards in such an incomprehensible manner.

"Then there are players on the other team that during the game commit fouls and don't get any cards. It's curious, but we're used to it."

"I don't understand how the foul on Sergi Roberto was given outside the box.”

While the game was full of debatable decisions, Lucho’s team selection also deserves to come under scrutiny in what was a must-win game following Madrid’s derby draw to Atletico earlier in the day.

With los Blancos dropping points, it was absolutely crucial for Barça to win and the game demanded Lucho start his strongest side, despite the fact that Juventus are up next on Tuesday.

However, Andres Iniesta who was simply superb against Sevilla in midweek was again left on the bench while Andre Gomes, Denis Suarez and Jeremy Mathieu all started and contributed directly to the result.

Mathieu was to blame for Malaga’s, first goal playing Sandro onside, while Gomes wasted a glorious opportunity to score and Denis was gone by half-time, replaced by Iniesta.

Sergi Roberto was summoned at the interval and made a difference with Paco Alcácer also introduced but it was too little too late for Barça whose four Liga defeats have now come against Alavés, Celta, Deportivo and Málaga – only Celta are in the top half and only just.

A trip to Juventus now awaits and with La Liga starting to slip out of reach the focus must surely be on the Champions League, Tuesday’s teamsheet should make for interesting reading.

mascherano anasema wanaenda kupiga mpira wa ushindi.
Javier Mascherano says Barcelona will be going for the win at Juventus in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final.

Barca face a tough test against Massimiliano Allegri’s men who are unbeaten in their last 21 home games in the Champions League.

However, Mascherano says his team can’t afford to play conservatively and must go for the victory in Turin if they are to progress to the last four.

“If we don't play to win, it will go badly. We have to play our football to negate Juventus' strengths,” he told a pre-match press conference

“If we go out for a draw, then we’ll definitely have more chance of losing because we’re a team who like to control the game, to be protagonists.

“That’s the best way to be in attack, but also in defence for the qualities of our players and our mentality because it’s worked really well in recent years.

“We know it’ll be tough, but we’ll try to minimise the best of Juventus with our football and exhibit the best version of ourselves.

“Juventus have always been a strong and powerful team, in recent years they’ve won the Scudetto in Italy with a lot of room to spare.

“This is a team which has had a lot of quality players throughout its history, just as now, so clearly we have to be alert.”

Mascherano was linked with a move to Juventus last summer but the Argentine played down talk of a move to Turin.

“There were rumours last summer, as often happens in the summer transfer window,” he explained.

“There’s a lot of talk but there was nothing, I’m a Barcelona player. It’s an honour and a pleasure to play for a team like Barcelona, and I’ll try to give my best to help the team.”

Juve wanasound extremely dangerous.

Juventus
For the last few months, Next World's Greatest Manager Massimiliano Allegri has discovered a system that allowed him to play attacking football with four forwards IN ITALY and escape criticism. You aren't supposed to play attacking football with four forwards in Italy and escape criticism, but Allegri is so good he found a way to remain defensively sound and still dominate and score loads of goals against every team they faced since the 4-2-3-1 formation was implemented.

The key? The wings: Dani Alves and Juan Cuadrado on the right, Alex Sandro and Mario Mandzukic on the left. These four players are so dynamic that they allowed Allegri to unleash Paulo Dybala into the central areas and let him run riot on the opposing defenses without having to worry about also having to move out wide, which was a problem last season.

With Leonardo Bonucci and Georgio Chiellini capable of defending everything all the time, as well as having Claudio Marchisio and Miralem Pjanic hold their positions a little bit more, Allegri is able to send six players forward without worrying about the defense, and Juventus' "front six" of Alves, Cuadrado, Dybala, Mandzukic, Sandro and Higuaín will be more than a handful for Barça on Tuesday.

This is not your quintessential Italian team: Juventus will run, they'll attack, they'll probably score goals, and they'll be a REALLY tough team to beat at home.

Predicted XI: Buffon | D.Alves, Bonucci, Chiellini, A.Sandro | Marchisio, Pjanic | Cuadrado, Dybala, Mandzukic | Higuaín
