Mkuu mbona mie nilifikiri tumesema kuwa jawabu ni kutumia changes in energy levels na kwa maana hiyo hata tukitafuta twice as hot as +15C jawabu halitakuwa +30C (hata hapa ukifanya conversion into Farenheit first and change back, you will get a different answer) bali itabidi tuangalie kimisingi ya mabadiliko ya energy na ndio maana tukahusisha absolute zero. (As Kiranga pointed out, only theoretically)

Joto mara mbili haimaanishi kuwa ni mara mbili ya unit kwenye kipimo kinachotumika bali mara mbili ya energy iliyomo kwenye kimiminika kinachopimwa.

Ni wazi kuwa hii change in energy in a fluid na change in unit kwenye vipimo vya Celcius, Farenheit haipo katika ratio moja (1:1) na kwa maana hiyo hatuwezi kufanya simple multiplications tu.

Kama tungelikuwa tunapima Kimiminika, hilo halina ubishi kwani kuna vitu kama Mass vinaingia na uwezo wa kimiminika kusafirisha joto nacho kinaingia. Kutumia ratio ya one to one hapo kweli halipo na hii haina ubishi.

Tatizo nililonalo ni pale tunasema HALI YA HEWA ya kesho, itakuwa baridi mara mbili ya hali ya hewa ya leo.

Hapo mie ndipo inanipa utata. Ila maadamu umenipa mwanga sasa wa wapi nianzie, ngoja nipekue vitabu.

Bahati mbaya mie Physics sikusoma kabisa. Nilikuwa na somo linaitwa Engineering Science basi........

Mengi ninayoandika ni kuwa nayatoa kwenye Engineering na kuyaleta kwenye Physics....

Inawezekana kuna sehemu nimeelewa vibaya na ndiyo maana nikaomba mnikosoe....

Nimefurahi sasa umeandika ki-taaluma zaidi na si kama Kisiasa.... Tuendelee kujulishana.

Sign ya 0 ni + au - ....??? Tukiwa kwenye 0°C, tunasema ni BARIDI au JOTO au kwa maji, tuseme H2o ni Maji au barafu?

Tatizo nilionalo ni kuwa tunataka kuchanganya concept za physics na concept za laymen.

Katika physics 0°C ni 0°C haitakuwa labeled kuwa ni Baridi wala Joto. Physics kazi yake ni kustate facts na kuacha hisia pembeni. Itakwambia air has a temperature of 0°C without saying if that is cold or hot. Na hiyo si kwa 0°C tu, hata air ikifika 40°C basi haita state kuwa ni ni cold or hot. Sio kazi yake.

Mimi na wewe tukizungumza ndo tunasema Baridi au Joto licha ya kuwa hivi vitu ni subjective. Kwa mfano 15°C inaweza kuwa baridi kwa mimi lakini kwa Mzungu wa Siberia akaona Joto na ndio maana physics huwa haijihusishi kwa sababu haviko uniform kwa watu wote.

Maji kwenye 0°C yanaendelea kuwa maji ama katika hali ya barafu au hali ya kimiminika au mchanganyiko wa vyote.
Physics ikizungumzia maji kwenye 0°C itakwambia yapo kwenye state gani.

Sisi laymen ndio tukizungumzia maji kwenye 0°C mara nyingi kama si zote tunakusudia maji katika hali ya kimiminika.

Sasa tunapozungumzia hivi vitu lazima tutofautishe tunazungumza kwa mtazamo wa physics au watu wa mitaani

Hii ushawahi kuisikia wapi? kuwa hali ya hewa ya kesho itakuwa baridi mara mbili ya leo?

Mamlaka ya hali ya hewa haiwezi kusema kitu kama hicho, ni lugha ya mtaani tu ambayo kwetu concept ya baridi mara mbili ni hisia tu zinazotokana na viashiria kama nguo kiasi gani utahitaji kuvaa, mwanga utakaokuwepo na vitu ambavyo havihusiani moja kwa moja na physics

Angalia swali la SMU ndiyo utaelewa kwa nini niliandika hivyo.

Nakubaliana na wewe kuwa kwenye Physics/Engineering kuna SI Units ambazo huwa zinasaidia kuwa na standard moja. Ila wakati mwingine kwenye Engineering huwa inabidi kuanza kufikiri kama Layman ili uweze kutengeneza vitu watakavyo-deal navyo hao Layman.

Hii inapaswa waiangalie wale wanaopenda mijadala mirefu kuhusu serikali mbili, tatu au moja. Itawasaidia kujua kuwa sometime jibu linaweza kuwa moja but how you arrive to the answer is different na hata mijadala yao haiwezi kuwa na mwisho kama kila mtu ataendelea kuwa na perspective yake tu, unless they change positions.

This is exactly why I deride absolutism.

Maybe the reason Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle is inherent (and not due to our poor technology) is because there is no one absolute velocity and position, and that the two are relativistic.

This illustration is so insightful yet so simple, I enjoyed it thoroughly.

This is exactly why I deride absolutism.

Maybe the reason Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle is inherent (and not due to our poor technology) is because there is no one absolute velocity and position, and that the two are relativistic.

The illustrator did a wonderful job of complementing the narrative of the good professor :glasses-nerdy:

I'd say its too early to make such a proposition. Out technology and knowledge is still "uncertain"
