I'm not an Israeli. I am an American Jew. And as my family was in Palestine for 300 years before coming to the US I have a different opinion than yours. My family sold everything and bought acompound on Ben Gurion in Jerusalem. My grandmother and her sister attended the Rothschild School for Jewish girls so they spoke perfect English. My great grandparents rented rooms and everyone came. There were Jews, Arabs of all types, French and Turkish folks came. The camels and goats were in the center of the compound. The kids (including my young grandparentsplayed hide and seek among the legs of the animals. My grandfather spoke French, Arabic and Yiddish. He read books. I was not raised to think of Palestinians as enemies. I knew Arabs andI knew that just like Jews, they come with many different beliefs.
