Mzee wangu mwanahistoria Mohamed Said.. hawa watu kwa kukosa ule uzalendo basi wamekuwa si wazalendo,maana hawataki kukubali kuwa wazee wetu kila ukigusa Uhuru unakuta wao ndo vinara, ukigusa majimaji wao vinara..sasa baada ya kujifunza kwa wenye elimu ya historia, wao wanabaki kejeli na kulaumu eti udini, yaani ukweli kwao ni udini na lau ungekuwa udini tunaoleta basi wazee wetu akina Kissenge wasingemchukua mwalimu nyerere hadi Tanga katika Tawasul (dua) kumuomba mungu ushindi dhidi ya vitimbi vya waingereza..lakini uzalendo wa taifa ndo ilikuwa jambo kubwa kwao.

Najua ametatazika kama wengi wanavyotatazika hivi sasa wakinisoma.

Songea na kumbukumbu ya iko hapo kwenye kumbukumbu ya Maji Maji

yake kuna majina mengine lakini ni ya wale wale Waislam walionyongwa:

''Islam has always been the ideology of resistance against colonial rule or any other authority which tried to subjugate Muslims. Consequently, no government in power either indigenous or foreign has ever been kind or supportive to Islam, and likewise Muslims have always been engaged in a continuous struggle to preserve their faith and fight for their rights. Christianity was resisted by Muslims right from the beginning. In any uprising against the colonial government, Muslims took the opportunity to attack missionaries and Christian establishments. Muslim perceived both missionaries and the colonial government as fellow collaborators and therefore enemies to Islam. Islamic radicalism has therefore a long history in the struggle against colonial rule and Christianity. Christianity became a reactionary force siding with the colonial authority. One needs only to read the letter written by the Chief Songea bin Ruuf at the time when he was mobilising his people for war while at the same time trying to cement alliances with other chiefs in Southern Tanganyika and across the River Ruvuma in Mozambique. This letter written to Sheikh and Sultan Mataka bin Hamin Massaninga reads:
''Sultan Songea bin Ruuf writes: To the Shaykh and Sultan Mataka bin Hamis Massaninga. Greetings, etc. I am sending you a letter throughKazembe. We have received an order from God that the Europeans must leave the country. We are in the process of fighting them here. I believe that we have long since been reconciled,[so] send me your children, so that we may make an alliance. I had wanted to send you some cattle as a gift, but am not able to do so, as the war which God desired is continuing. Send me a hundred riflemen, and support me in storming the Boma (Songea).

I am also sending you a flask of the Prophet Muhammad, which contains the means for conquering the Europeans. Have no doubt about it, it possessed great power. And when we have taken the Boma (Songea), we shall go on the stations on the Nyasa together, you and I. Now, let us forget our old quarrels.

This bottle, with a da’wa, has been sent by Chinyalanyala himself, the war leader. He also sends the container (kombe), and sends you many greetings.

If your men will come, then Chinyalanyala himself will come and will give you many of the holy things.
Hassan bin Isma’il greets you.

Many salutations,
Sultan Songea bin Ruuf.” [1]

A point to note here is that this letter, beautiful as it is, it is being doubted by Becker, who maintains that the origins of the letter are dubious.[2] This is the stand which many Christian researchers have taken when faced with the realities of Islam in Tanganyika.

1942 akiwa na umri wa miaka 18 alitokea wa kwanza mtihani wa Cambridge na kupata admission ya Makerere lakini hakwenda badala yake akawa conscripted katika King's African Rifles (KAR) na akaingizwa katika Burma Infantry baada ya mafunzo Lower Kabete, Kenya. Baada ya vurugu za African Association alipata admission Princeton University, New Jersey lakini pia hakwenda.

Katika ukurasa wa 7 kuna sehemu umeandika "Hadi kufikia mwaka wa 1960 kanisa lilikuwa taasisi kubwa inayomiliki mamilioni ya dola ya misaada inayopelekwa kutoka wahisani na wafadhili walioko katika ulimwengu wa Kikristo. Kanisa sasa hivi lina hodhi mahospitali, misururu ya ndege binafsi, viwanja vya ndege makampuni ya uchapaji na mitambo ya kupiga chapa, stesheni za radio na magazeti.

Alhaji Mohamed Said heshima kwako vijana wengi tumekalia ubishi usikuwa na kichwa wala miguu weka mambo uwanjani wao wa ache wakalie fitna na chuki za kitoto
 

Wazee wa Dar es Salaam katika Baraza la Wazee wa TANU na Mwalimu Julius Nyererekatika Uchaguzi Mkuu wa 1962. Masikitiko ni kuwa mashujaa hawa hadi leo nchi haijawatambua isipokuwa Nyerere peke yake. Kushoto ni Mwinjuma Mwinyikambi, Max Mbwana, Julius Nyerere na Mshume Kiyate, picha ilipigwa wakati wa Uchaguzi Mkuu wa 1962.
 
Bii Mkubwa salamu kwako, sikubishi hata kidogo hayo usemayo kwenye hiyo picha,ndiyo maana nilipoiona kichwani kulipita maswali mengi na niliwauliza niliyowakuta nayo sikukinaishwa na majibu yao,nikaona nielete hapa hapa Barzani pengine Maalim katika utafiti labda alikutana nayo au kama kuna mwanaukumbi anafahamu kitu juu ya hiyo picha atueleze.

Hii picha nilipewa na watoto wa Sheikh Abdallah Chaurembo
katika miaka ya 1980 na mimi nnilifanya mipango ipatikane nakala
yenye ubora na hilo lilifanyika.

Picha hii ilipigwa 1956 shambani kwa Sheikh Abdallah Chaurembo

Ukoo wa Chaurembo una kawaida ya kufanya hawli kila mwaka na hii
inaendelea hadi leo

Katika hawali ya mwaka ule Mwalimu Nyerere alialikwa.

katika watoto waliokaa chini yuko Said Mahfoudh mmoja wa vijana wa
kwanza kuingia Chuo Kikuu Cha Dar es Salaam katika miaka ya awali ya
1960.

Hii picha ilipotea kwa miaka zaid ya 20 hata wenyewe akina Chaurembo
wakawa hawana nakala ya picha hii.

Maalim Sheikh Bilali Mshoro wa Tabora ni Mzee wangu mmoja wa watoto wake Amefariki
Mwaka huu Mwezi March Marehemu Salehe Mshoro alikuwa Mkurugenzi wa fedha TRA tumesoma wote Tabora,kaka yake ni Prof. Mshoro yupo chuo cha ardhi.
Kingine Said Mahfoudh ni mjomba wangu na nitamtafuta kupata habari zaidi.

Maalim Faiza alisema hii picha “inaongea maneno Milioni" hakika she is absolutely right.
