While suffering is a result of human misuse of this freedom, it was never God's intention for us to suffer. Genesis 1:31 says: "God saw all that He had made, and it was very good."
God created a perfect world, but sin entered through human choices, leading to suffering.
However, God is not indifferent to our suffering. He promises to be with us in our pain and has provided a way through Jesus Christ for ultimate restoration and healing. Romans 8:18 says: "I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us." God's ultimate plan is to bring hope, healing, and justice, where suffering will be no more.
