MILAN – 13 years ago today, May 28 2003, the Rossoneri won their sixth European Cup after beating Juventus in the all-Italian final.
Old Trafford, Manchester was the scene for the Rossoneri’s moment of glory but the contest would go right down to the wire with the game ending 0-0 after extra time.
The Rossoneri however held their nerve when it mattered most and won the shoot-out 3-2 thanks to successful spot-kicks from Serginho, Nesta and Shevchenko.
