Liverpool won't sell Dejan Lovren to AC Milan for less than £25million - and there's a good reason why, according to latest reports from Italy.
Lovren is far from a certain starter at Liverpool , with Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip all centre-half options for Jurgen Klopp's side.
The defender, who played in Sunday's 3-1 win over Bradford City, made only 13 Premier League appearances for Liverpool last season, and five others in cup competitions.
And he has been at the centre of speculation over his future this summer with AC Milan believed to be keen to take him to the San Siro.
But Liverpool value the 30-year-old centre-back at £25m, and with another two years to run on his contract, the club has no intention of selling him on the cheap.
Dejan Lovren has two years left on his contract at Liverpool.
And despite Lovren's limited game time, there is one big reason why Liverpool boss Klopp is determined to keep him at the club.
That reason, according to Italian outlet Calciomercato , is Lovren's leadership qualities.
Lovren has been with Liverpool since 2014, and has been a part of many successful cup runs including the back-to-back Champions League finals appearances.

According to reports from Sky Sport, Leipzig have submitted an offer for Hakan Calhanoglu, a player that the Germans were already interested in last January. The Rossoneri are reportedly considering inserting the Turkish midfielder in the negotiations for the acquisition of RB Leipzig's Dayot Upamecano 20-year-old.Possible contacts between both teams could come later this week.

According to reports from Sky, Milan is thinking of Rodrigo De Paul to reinforce his midfield after losing Roma to Veretout. The Argentine from Udinese is back from his best career season and would like to leave Udinese asking for his 30 million mark.
How Milan's midfield would change - With De Paul and Paquetà on the same team, Giampaolo would be spoiled for choice as a playmaker. However, the Argentine has more offensive characteristics than Paquetà which is more complete and would go on to make the left wing half as it has done up until now. At the expense of Calhanoglu, who could also leave Milan in this market.

Milan are now pushing to sign Lyon winger Memphis Depay. Yesterday his agent was at Casa Milan and informed the rossoneri that he wants to leave Lyon.
Lyon would ask for €40m, but negotiations could start at €30m + bonuses.

Memphis is a versatile player that can play both as a centre forward and as a winger while he is also able to slot in as an attacking midfielder. He scored 10 goals and had 10 assists last season for Lyon.

In the last two seasons with Lyon his numbers have been extraordinary. The Netherlands international has played both as winger and as a second striker. In the last season he made 47 appearances, scoring 12 goals and providing 16 assists.
Yesterday at Casa Milan there was a meeting with the Dutch agency SEG Football. This Amsterdam-based company takes care of the interests of various players, especially Dutch. Among these are Stefan de Vrij (Inter), Memphis Depay (Lyon), Marten de Roon (Atalanta), Daley Blind (Ajax), Kevin Strootman (Marseille), Kasper Dolberg (Ajax) and Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld (Club Brugge).
According to Tuttosport, the future of Depay was the main topic of their conversation. The former Manchester United star has a contract with Lyon until 2021, but in recent seasons despite the important numbers, his relationship with the club has not been that good.
According to Sportmediaset, Lyon have dropped their asking price for Depay to 40 million euros. However, considering that the parties have made no progress regarding the renewal, that figure can be lowered to 30 million plus bonuses. The price is therefore negotiable.

- For now, Luka Modrić's transfer is just Milan's idea. Reduction of earnings [currently he earns about 12.5 million euros net per season] even up to 6.25 million euros net per season may not be enough for the Croat to move to San Siro.

- Franck Kessie may change the club in the summer for disciplinary reasons that took place last season. Milan would like to earn on his transfer a minimum of 30 million euros.
