Ralf Rangnick will join Milan this summer and will be given a powerful role plus a substantial budget to sculpt his squad with.

That is according to SportMediaset (via MilanLive) who confirm that Rangnick will arrive at Milan and Elliott Management will give him a war chest of €130million to begin his revolution with.

A signing will be necessary to replace Gianluigi Donnarumma, whose contract expires in June 2021 with no signs of renewal currently. The strongest candidate is Juan Musso of Udinese, valued at around €25million and is also wanted by Inter. Napoli have put a high valuation on Alex Meret, another goalkeeper Milan like.

For the attack Milan are after Loren Moron, the 26-year-old striker from Real Betis who this season has scored nine goals in 26 games. In his contract there is a €60million release clause, but he could be signed for around half.

For the midfield Rolando Mandragora of Udinese is a target. Juventus should exercise their buy-back option by investing the €26million agreed with the Friulian club, then Milan could come forward, competing for the Italy international against Roma.

Finally there is Dani Olmo, who joined Leipzig in January after Zvonimir Boban's unsuccessful attempt to bring him to Milan. The Spanish talent has not gelled well with coach Julian Nagelsmann, who used him less than expected. The former Dinamo Zagreb star could consider a new transfer if the situation does not change.

Real Madrid, Chelsea and PSG may soon submit their offers for Gianluigi Donnarumma:

* Real Madrid - 50 million euros
* Chelsea - cash + Kepa Arrizabalaga
* PSG - cash + Alphonse Areola

Milan expects only cash for a 21-year-old.

At the earliest opportunity, Gordon Singer should meet with Ralf Rangnick to sign a 3-year contract. The 61-year-old should become a new coach and board member of Milan. One of German's transfer target is Sandro Tonali, for which Rossoneri will have a special budget. It cannot be ruled out that Milan will offer some players as part of the 19-year-old transfer to San Siro.

Milan target David Silva decides his next club

Posted on April 21, 2020 by Rossonero

AC Milan transfer target and Manchester City star David Silva has already decided where he will play next.

At 34, David Silva wants to change club. The Manchester City playmaker, still among the most technical players in circulation, will leave the Citizens at the end of the season.

His contract with Manchester City will expire at the end of the season and Silva is able to join a new club on a free transfer. According to ESPN, a choice has been made: the City number 21 will return to his former club Valencia, the team he grew up in and launched him at the highest high levels.

Silva therefore aims for a sensational and romantic return home. Contacts between his agents and Valencia are already in place and at an advanced stage. Nothing to do for Milan, who had hoped to convince him to end his career in Italy.

The Rossoneri were very serious in their attempt to sign David Silva. In March AC Milan held a meeting with his agents but apparently unable to convince Silva to move in Serie A.

Ricci could be ideal Plan B to Tonali
Pianeta Milan note, via the paper edition of Tuttosport, that Milan are monitoring Empoli youngster Samuele Ricci and he would seemingly tick all the necessary boxes for the club in a possible signing.

The 18-year-old has stepped up this season to feature 22 times, helping to fill the voids left behind by Ismael Bennacer and Rade Krunic who both joined us last summer, while he is capped from U17s to U19s for Italy.

After a slow start to the campaign, Ricci has established himself as an important figure in the starting XI since November and as seen in the video below, his potential, raw quality and attributes are clear.

Tonali is undoubtedly further on in terms of his development, progression and the all-round quality that he can offer in midfield, and it’s obvious why he’s valued so highly and is said to be in such high demand.

Nevertheless, there is a lot to like about Ricci’s game too for such a young player.

Naturally, he has huge room for improvement. However, whether it’s the tenacity he shows off the ball to win possession back, his physicality in that role (albeit he’ll have to adapt to the top level in Serie A), and his ability on the ball in terms of his vision, passing range and speed of thought, they all stand out as impressive characteristics. He isn’t shy in displaying some flair either by trying a trick or two when evading pressure.

There’s still so much to work on of course, but it’s hard not to closely look at his raw talents and qualities and imagine him and Bennacer working in tandem in the heart of our midfield to provide a sound balance. With the energy, combativeness and mobility between them but importantly paired with technical quality on the ball, there’s a lot to like about a potential link up, just as there is with Tonali.

Given the way in which Bennacer has impressed since he joined us last summer and the strong relationship built with Empoli’s hierarchy after our recent business, it could be a smart move to revisit it for Ricci this summer.

With Lucas Biglia and Giacomo Bonaventura both seemingly heading for the exit door with their current contracts set to expire at the end of the season, the midfield will be a problem for Milan.

Our transfer strategy has been centred around identifying talented young players available at low cost with significant room to grow in value and quality and who will likely command a low wage. Ricci will seemingly meet all those conditions and so if signing Tonali proves to be as difficult as expected, Milan would do well to try and position themselves to land the Empoli starlet instead.

Tuttosport: Three key factors mean Elliott are confident of signing €40m winger
By Oliver Fisher - 22 April 2020, 10:45
Ante Rebic has his heart set on staying at Milan beyond his loan spell, a report claims, with the chances of a permanent deal increasing.

Rebic joined Milan late in the last summer transfer window, arriving on a two-year dry loan from Eintracht Frankfurt with no option or obligation to buy inserted, while Andre Silva moved in the opposite direction on the same terms.

After struggling up until the Christmas period, the Croatia international has exploded in 2020 so far, scoring seven goals in all competitions to become the club’s top scorer.

According to Wednesday’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanLive), Rebic wants to stay at Milan and aims straight for a reconfirmation in the Rossoneri.

This is more than just confirming the second year of the loan though: both parties have the absolute intention to make the deal permanent given his exploits in the last few months.

His price will need discussions though, as the Bundesliga side want €40m for the 26-year-old, almost double the €25m compared to when he joined – the same that Andre Silva was valued.

Elliott will be able to count on three factors: a fall in valuations because of the crisis following COVID-19, the fact Rebic’s contract is expiring in 2022 and above all the will of the player.

Tuttosport: Tonali, Szoboszlai and Jonathan David on Rangnick’s 8-man Milan wish list
By Oliver Fishe r - 22 Aprl
AC Milan have as many as eight young talents in their crosshairs ahead of another summer of revolution, according to a report.

Tuttosport are reporting on Wednesday (via MilanLive) that in addition to Ralf Rangnick having a set budget already agreed, there is a list of reinforcements also prepared to try and improve the Rossoneri squad.

The base will obviously be players under 25, but at the same time there is no total closure to players above this age. On the contrary: it all depends on the value for money both in terms of transfer fee and salary.

The list of names mentioned is as follows: Sandro Tonali from Brescia, Samuele Ricci from Empoli, Teun Koopmeiners from AZ Alkmaar and Florentino Luis from Benfica.

In addition to those four, the paper claims that Noussair Mazraoui from Ajax, Dominik Szoboszlai from Salzburg, Gianluca Scamacca from Ascoli (Sassuolo-owned) and Jonathan David from Gent are all also targets.

Capital gains will be fundamental at the base of the entire market for Milan moving forward. Not only because half of the proceeds from sales will be added to the allocated budget, but also to clear the red balance sheets.

Therefore, it would not be surprising if Milan were to try to make a big surplus even reluctantly, the report claims, and in this sense the name of Gianluigi Donnarumma remains the only one to guarantee such an opportunity.
