Mauro Tassotti : "I had arrived in Milan and I was ugly, bad and scarce; I remained bad but Milan changed me as a man and as a footballer"

AC Milan consider Hakan Calhanoglu to be unsellable, a report claims, and Ralf Rangnick could have big plans for the midfielder.

As Tuttosport reports today (via MilanLive ), Calhanoglu will be a key figure once again next season despite the fact his contract is expiring in 2021 and regardless of who will be the next Rossoneri head coach.

The paper notes how the Turkey international arrived as part of the 2017 summer transfer window during which €230million was spent on over 10 players by Yonghong Li and the new Chinese ownership.

Under Vincenzo Montella and Gennaro Gattuso he played a key role just as he did even with Marco Giampaolo and Stefano Pioli, and if the latter were to remain then Calhanoglu would have no problems as he is being played in his favoured role.

If, on the other hand, Ralf Rangnick arrived, it would also not be a problem since the German coach has made it clear several times that he appreciates and wants him at the centre of his project.

Milan still intends to focus on its No.10 which, so far, has only shown his technical skill in flashes.

AC Milan could sell three of their midfielders this summer. In addition to Lucas Biglia and Jack Bonaventura leaving (out of contract), the Rossoneri could part ways with Franck Kessie, Lucas Paqueta and Rade Krunic.

As reported by MilanLive.it earlier today, the Ivorian is a potential treasure for Milan, having attracted the interest of multiple clubs. Should they need the money, therefore, a sale could be evaluated by the San Siro side.

Paqueta hasn’t played much this season and the Rossoneri don’t want to make a big loss on the player, having spent around €38m in January last year. Krunic, meanwhile, has been sporadically used and only cost the club €8m last summer.

For all three of these, Milan will only sell on one condition: the offers will have to be up to par with their requests. To date, there are no concrete negotiations regarding the trio, but in the summer that could certainly change.

Ancelotti on Rangnick: "Scarce coaches mustn't scare foreign ones"

Carlo Ancelotti, who spoke on a live Instagram on Carlo Pellegatti's profile, spoke of Ralf Rangnick: "We met when I was in Germany. I don't know him, from what I read he was in love with Sacchi's Milan, but I don't know the methodology At Milan scarce coaches, not foreign coaches, must be frightened. "

šŸ“° Blid : Mario Gƶtze wants to leave Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season (free). Gƶtze has already rejected the proposals from Roma and Lazio. The player was not satisfied with the financial offer of the two clubs, but AC Milan would still be in the running. TeamMilanAC on Twitter

Marcos #Cafù on his arrival at Milan: "In the summer of 2003 I had an agreement with Yokohama.
15 days before leaving Milan's proposal arrived.
I said that I was already old, I was 32, but they told me the coach himself had asked the club to contact me because he wanted me.
I said okay, I called Yokohama and I explained that Milan was after me, one of the strongest teams in the world.
At that point I could not say no to the Rossoneri to go to Japan.
I canceled the contract with Yokohama and I signed with Milan.
The initial contract was for only one year, then I stayed until 2008. It was certainly the right choice, very right".

Carlo Ancelotti claims the Milan team who lost the Champions League to Liverpool in 2005 were better than his winners of 2003 and 2007.

Today marks 13 years since Milan beat Manchester United 3-0 to reach the 2006-07 Champions League Final, and Ancelotti looked back on their ā€˜perfect’ performance.

ā€œThe goal we conceded in the last minute of the first leg was very important,ā€ he said during an Instagram interview.

ā€œIt ended 3-2 and this forced us to play an attacking game, more ruthless than if the first leg had ended 2-2.

ā€œThere was a lot of tension, it hadn’t been a brilliant season and the Champions League was a very important objective.

ā€œIt had been a troubled season, which started from the qualifiers without any preparation. We tried to double up on [Cristiano] Ronaldo as much as possible. Gattuso did it very well.

ā€œThere were then a series of favourable circumstances; the right weather, goals at the right time. That’s why it was a perfect match.ā€

The Everton boss won two Champions Leagues with the Rossoneri, but he felt the team who lost to Liverpool on penalties in Istanbul were superior to those who won in 2005 and 2007.

ā€œThe 2007 team was technically inferior than the 2005 team, who remain the best team with the best performance in a Final.

ā€œThe 2005 team were better than the one in 2003. In 2007, we had extraordinary motivation. We won it through motivation rather than quality.

ā€œI watched [the Istanbul Final] back 10 years later. We also played very well in extra time. [Jamie] Carragher told me they couldn’t take it anymore and they wanted to go to penalties.ā€

In contrast, Carletto guided the Diavolo to just one Scudetto in 2004.

ā€œI haven’t won many league titles, that’s the competition which rewards consistency.

ā€œWe went to Rome and Turin and won. We had a consistent campaign. The only moment of difficulty came after we went out to Deportivo [La Coruna] and with the defeat to Udinese after the loss in the Intercontinental Cup [to Boca Juniors].

šŸ—£ Samu Castillejo: "I always wanted to succeed here [at AC Milan]. I want to stay at the club for a long time.

"The truth is that 2020 had started well. I have played every game and at a good level. I hope it continues like this."

Milannews.it : Gazzetta - Theo: " At Milan I feel important, I want to bring him back up. Maldini is a reference point "

PRESSSION AND TRUST - " I work day by day - he said - to be able to offer Milan my best version when it comes back to play. It's a difficult time for everyone, I took it with resignation. We need to think above all about our health and that of our families.

We follow the directions provided and wait with anxiety and patience for the situation to return to normal ". Theo took very little to take Milan: " It was a very important year for me.

I adapted very quickly to a new championship and pressure from a great club. The trust of the technical staff, the help of the companions and the affection that our fans give me are fundamental. Pioli's trust is decisive.
Then being in a great club and having the opportunity to learn from the best is among the aspects I appreciate the most ".

SURPRISE BOMBER - This season, Hernandez scored 6 goals in 25 games, becoming one of the team's bombers: " It's above all credit to the daily work - he said - and then immediately I had the feeling that I had adapted completely to everything I had around. I think of the team as a whole, my mates on and off the field, the city, the culture of a new country, club philosophy and leisure.

All these factors put together have facilitated the improvement of my numbers. I'm still very young and have growth margins... We'll see what the future holds. Here I have everything I need to do right, depends on me and my job ".
LEADERSHIP AND AMBITIONS - Theo has everything to become a leader of Milan: " I still miss so many games and especially the experience to be able to be a leader. I feel important on a great team and it fills me with confidence. Maldini has always been a reference to me. Everyone would like to mirror themselves in a character like him, he lived a glorious career and represents Milan.

When you're faced with such a champion, there's little to think about. Glad he and his son Daniel recovered. I want to bring our Milan back where he deserves for his story and the love of his fans ".
