AC Milan sealed a surprise January signing in Krzysztof Piątek, with the Polish striker replacing Gonzalo Higuaín. But as a result, Patrick Cutrone’s future at the San Siro is uncertain, and Barcelona could take advantage of that.
The 21-year old Italy international hasn’t been able to replicate last season’s form, but that is largely due to his lack of opportunities amid bigger names. Cutrone has made 31 appearances in all competitions, but only 13 of them have been starts.
The youngster has netted 9 goals and provided 3 assists this season. But he has scored some very important goals, including a stoppage-time winner against Real Betis in the Europa League and a late strike in a 2-1 victory against Roma in Serie A
