Milan '88: The inside story of Sacchi's all-conquering kings, as told by them

Under the autocratic eccentricities of manager Arrigo Sacchi, the Rossoneri redefined the modern pressing game, imposing their will on the opposition by squeezing space, playing with a shifting, high-defensive line and putting the emphasis on athletic preparation. It's a tactic that has threaded through the most successful teams of the last quarter of a century, including Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United and, perhaps most famously, Pep Guardiola’s Barcelona.

According to #SportMediaset, @hakanc10 has recovered from the calf bruise picked up against Lazio.
But Lucas Paquetà could make him breathe again against Juventus, allowing the Turkish player to fully recover for the trip to Napoli scheduled for Sunday evening.

CorSera: After coach Pioli's displays, an idea emerged of letting him remain for next season while Rangnick becomes the technical director. However, the Rossoneri management are not convinced by this idea.

AC Milan have not yet made a decision on Simon Kjaer's redemption from Sevilla (for a figure of around € 3.5 million), but reflections are ongoing. The Danish defender is playing very well and has repeatedly expressed his intention to remain with the Rossoneri, but there are parameters that the company takes into consideration. In addition to the technical aspect, the age (Kjaer is 31 years old) and the engagement in the next years (2.5 million the defender's salary for the next years) are evaluated, measures that have a specific weight in the negotiation. Reflections on the ransom to be made by July 15th (read here) are currently underway.

*AC Milan’s new course is about to begin, starting with the arrival of Ralf Rangnick. The Rossoneri’s CEO, Ivan Gazidis, has announced the arrival of the German manager to Paolo Maldini, the current technical director.*

According to Sky Italia, Rangnick will be the manager, technical director, head of the medical sector and much more. An agreement has been reached between the parties, as we have always stated via our correspondent Vito Angele.

However, Paolo Maldini is the current technical director and his contract will run until 2022. He has been proposed the role as Ambassador of the club, a position that he will evaluate and decide whether to accept in the coming days.

The news comes in a positive moment for the team, during which the hard work of the current management and Stefano Pioli is shining through. However, the future will be led by Rangnick and hopefully, he can bring the team back to glory.

📰Nicolò Schira: No surprise as Gazidis chose Ralf Rangnick five months ago. This decision was taken after the 0-5 loss that the team suffered against Atalanta,

Ralf Rangnick has signed a contract to become the new manager of AC Milan ahead of the 2020-21 season, according to a report.

We reported via our correspondent Vito Angele last month that Rangnick will indeed agree a role as manager – that is the double responsibility of head coach and the man in charge of the transfer market.

Paolo Maldini and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are expected to leave Milan at the end of the season, but we reported how Rangnick, on the other hand, has a different opinion on the matter.

According to Sky Italia, Rangnick has already signed a deal with Milan and CEO Ivan Gazidis has informed Maldini of the arrival of the German.

Rangnick will also cover the role of technical director, while Maldini himself has been offered a new position, that of Club Ambassador, to which he will say no.

AC Milan have officially responded to rumours that Ralf Rangnick is set to arrive as the club’s new manager by labelling them as unfounded.
We reported via our correspondent Vito Angele last month that Rangnick will indeed agree a role as manager – that is the double responsibility of head coach and the man in charge of the transfer market.

Then, Sky Italia confirmed earlier today that Rangnick has already signed a deal with Milan and CEO Ivan Gazidis has informed Maldini of the arrival of the German.
Rangnick will also cover the role of technical director, while Maldini himself has been offered a new position, that of Club Ambassador, to which he will say no.
Now, ANSA (via TMW) are reporting that Milan have responded to the speculation with the following: “No technical decision has been taken or will be taken by Milan before the end of the season, and once again the maximum support and confidence of the leadership in Pioli and the team is confirmed.”

The same source points out that within the club it caused astonishment not only because of the content of the article but also the timing, given it is on the eve of a crucial match like the one against Juventus.
In addition, the club sources stress that whatever conversation Gazidis may have had with the management in recent days has always been oriented to strengthen the club’s structure and its future.

📰DiMarzio: Gazidis wants to have both of Rangnick and Maldini working together without reducing the latter's authorities or duties. An offer was presented to Paolo Maldini that allows him to have an operative role and share the decision making power with Rangnick. https://t.co/eZF9ORpGBE

Just moments after the game between AC Milan and Juventus, which the former won by 4-2 after an incredible turnaround, important news regarding the Rossoneri and the transfer window has arrived.
According to Sky Italia, as cited by
MilanNews.it , Milan are back in the race for Brescia’s star midfielder Sandro Tonali. The 20-year-old has previously admitted that he is a fan of the Rossoneri and thus a move there would make a lot of sense.
Inter and Juventus seemed to be ahead in the race, as the report continues, but have lost their momentum as negotiations have stalled for both clubs. Furthermore, Tonali wouldn’t say no to a move to Milan this September, when the transfer window will open.
The Rossoneri are currently thinking about the operation and it remains to be seen if they will make an offer for the highly-rated midfielder. Certainly, it would make a lot of fans happy, as well as the player.
