AC Milan have been offered the chance to sign two goalkeepers from South America as their search for a new back-up continues, a report claims.

Widespread reports are suggesting that Milan’s current deputy to Gianluigi Donnarumma – Pepe Reina – is all set for a move to the Rossoneri’s Serie A rivals Lazio.

The veteran Spaniard will apparently pen a two-year deal with the capital club despite the strong interests of Valencia, and that means that Milan are in the market for a goalkeeper again with Alessandro Plizzari having gone out on loan.

As a result, Milan’s search for a replacement is underway. According to Thursday’s edition of Tuttopsort (via MilanNews), there are three options on the table.

Asmir Begovic occupies the first position on the wish list, but the experienced Bosnian goalkeeper is not the only option.

Claudio Bravo – the 37-year-old Chile international just released by Manchester City – and Antony Silva of Huracan (36) have been offered to Milan, who are considering their profiles.

When Ronaldino was arrested alongside his Roberto Assis brother over Passport issue in Paraguay and detained at Agrupacion Especializida Maximum security prison for 32 days , only two players visited him ; that is Samuel E'too and Paraguay International Nelson Cuevas.

Later, E'too would call every evening to know how he was faring and gave him hope that things would be okay. Not even his mom , wife or siblings would do that.

After pleading guilty to the charges, the two were fined £ 200, 000 plus legal charges totalling to £ 27, 000. When He informed Etoo, Etoo responded " Don't worry bro, I will take care of everything " and he wired the money so that Ronaldino could be released.

Of all prominent friends Ronaldino made at the peak of his career, only that African that was once called a " monkey" by racist Spanish and Italian fans was there for him .

Ideally , the big friends that we make today might not be there for us tomorrow, but there will always be one that will be more than a family to us. Friendship is tested by ability to stand by each other at the hour of need .

TMW: Barella déjà vu as Inter delay Tonali deal – Milan accelerate as Juventus watch on

By Oliver Fisher - 28 August 2020, 14:46

AC Milan and Juventus are both circling as Inter continue to stall on completing a deal for Sandro Tonali, a report claims.

According to TMW (via MilanNews), Inter are still ahead in the race for Tonali, and their strategy is very reminiscent of that of a season ago, when Inter reached an agreement with Nicolò Barella and with Cagliari but did not rush to close everything.

Right now, Inter are playing their cards more or less in the same way: they have had Tonali’s approval for some time, but they have not yet finished the deal with Brescia.

Therefore, Milan are trying. Tonali had already been suggested as a Ralf Rangnick target but Maldini and Pioli also like him. The Rossoneri are rapidly moving from interest to concrete negotiations and have tabled an offer with a loan plus option to buy, but Cellino wants an obligation.

Juventus remain in the running too though. The Bianconeri have been monitoring the evolution of the situation for a long time and despite signing Arthur and Weston McKennie, a further departure could facilitate a move for the 20-year-old.

However, Juve don’t really need a player of Tonali’s characteristics right now and for this reason they are in third place in the race.

*Report: Chelsea open talks over €50m Milan star after failing to sign first choice target*

By Oliver Fisher - 28 August 2020, 15:21

Chelsea have opened talks with Mino Raiola over a possible deal for AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, a report claims.

Milan face a race against time regarding the future of Donnarumma as his contract expires at the end of the 2020-21 season, meaning that he is within a year of being able to leave on a free transfer.

Although every major media outlet is claiming that Milan will soon sit down for talks with his agent Mino Raiola over a renewal, that hasn’t stopped clubs showing interest.

Football Insider are claiming that Chelsea have turned their attention to Donnarumma after difficulties in signing Edouard Mendy from Rennes.

The Blues want to sign a new number one this summer after splashing out on the likes of Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner and Ben Chilwall and are exploring various options across Europe.

Frank Lampard is looking to offload Kepa Arrizabalaga and bring in a new keeper, and while Chelsea apparently know it’s a ‘long shot’ to land the €50m-rated Donnarumma, they are giving it a try and have opened talks, presumably with agent Mino Raiola.

Two of Europe’s biggest clubs have shown an interest in signing AC Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com claim that Bennacer – who joined Milan from Empoli last summer for €16m – is not for sale as the management and the club’s ownership deem him an important pillar moving forward.

Official offers have never arrived for the Algerian, but both Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid have enquired through intermediaries, though they got nowhere with them.

Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is adamant that four players of starter quality are needed for the two holding midfield spots, and Milan are negotiating with Brescia for Sandro Tonali on the basis of a €10m loan with option to buy at €20-25m.

Paolo Maldini’s idea is to give Pioli Bakayoko and Tonali to go with Kessie and Bennacer. The plan is there, now it needs to be implemented.

Bennacer will remain at Milan at least until summer 2021, but next summer his €50million release clause comes into play, which may make the big clubs circle again.

Zlatan Ibrahimović dla Milan TV:

I am very happy to be back in Milan. At last, everything is fine and I have finally returned to where I feel at home. Now we have to get back to work and enjoy the benefits. I'm not here to be a mascot. I'm here to deliver results, help the team, the coach and the club bring Milan back to its rightful place.

We've done well in the last six months, but haven't won anything. Now it is possible to start over, resume hard work to achieve common goals. I feel good. I'm in shape.

A message for Milan fans? I hope to see fans in the stadium soon. The team needs fans. Forza Milan per semper!
