Equipe: AC Milan make official bid for Simakan
Posted on December 25, 2020 by Rossonero

AC Milan have made an official offer for Strasbourg centre back Mohamed Simakan reports L’Equipe.
AC Milan have decided to concentrate on Mohamed Simakan as their top target for the defence. The 20-year-old French centre back has been on the Rossoneri’s radar since the summer and Maldini will try everything to bring him at San Siro in January.

Simakan was very close to joining AC Milan in the summer but RC Strasbourg rejected three offers from AC Milan in the last day of the mercato. Now, the Rossoneri will make a revamped attempt for the talented defender.

L’Equipe reports that AC Milan have made an official bid for Simakan offering 15 million euro to RC Strasbourg. That is the ideal amount that Milan want to spend to sign the 20-year-old defender.

However, it looks unlikely that Strasbourg accept after refusing 17 million in the summer from Milan. The Rossoneri are hopping that the general economic situation in the world of football could convince the French club to lower their asking price.

If AC Milan again fail to land Simakan they will reportedly turn their attention to Matteo Lovato of Hellas Verona and Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic.

Atletico Madrid propose swap deal for Castillejo
Posted on December 26, 2020 by Rossonero

Atletico Madrid insist to land AC Milan winger Samu Castillejo but the Spaniards would prefer a swap deal.
Samu Castillejo has long lost his starting position. Alexis Saelemaekers is now the chosen one for the right wing and the last match against Lazio was just another proof. The Belgian talent has bewitched the club as well as Stefano Pioli, who considers him a key player.

The Spanish winger is one of the players AC Milan are willing to sell for the right price. After four good season in La Liga, Castillejo still has many admirers in Spain. In recent weeks his name has been linked with Sevilla, Villarreal, Valencia and Atletico Madrid.

The economic crisis, in this period, does not favor cash spending and for this reason many clubs are thinking of swap deals. Milan value the 25-year-old at least 15 million euros but receiving this fee in January looks unlikely. Atletico Madrid are the team most interested in Castillejo’s services.

A possible swap between Samu and Stefan Savic was considered earlier. The Montenegro defender has played in the past in Serie A with Fiorentina and the Rossoneri are looking for a new centre back. However, Diego Simeone has decided to take Savic off the market. Instead, Atletico Madrid are willing offer Hector Herrera in exchange reports MilanLive.it.

TMW: Raiola has proposed Ajax's striker Brobbey. His contract will expire in June, he can be signed for €3M. Milan is evaluating. For the midfield, the hot track is Anguissa. Fulham’s request is €20M, the solution could be a loan with obligation.

As Calciomercato reports, there could be three gifts under the Christmas tree for Milan, one in each department. The global economic picture is not easy and therefore no particularly expensive investments are planned, and while Pierre Kalulu’s growth was the best surprise of December it does not change the desire to sign a new defender.

Mohamed Simakan is the first choice target in that regard, as an agreement with the player’s agent over a five-year contract has been reached. The first offer to Strasbourg is €15m, and there is great confidence that the distance between that and the demands will be bridged.

Milan are vigilant on the market in search of interesting opportunities to be seized, but there is no desire to allocate a large part of the budget to the arrival of a centre-forward.

Therefore, the links to Gianluca Scamacca of Sassuolo and Arek Milik of Napoli should be discarded, just as Luka Jovic and Memphis Depay are targets but only if they were sold in cut-price deals.

The report adds that that the door is still ajar and should the opportunity arise to reach a talented young player like Donyell Malen from PSV, and Paolo Maldini will be ready. There is also a possible surprise in midfield: Boubakary Soumarè of Lille is very much liked, while the candidacy of Andrè Anguissa of Fulham is still there.

We are offering Calhanoglu €3.5 million compared to the request of €5 million + bonus. There is optimism a deal can be reached. There will be an update in the coming days [GdS]

Milan are one of the teams who are actively pursuing Lyon star Memphis Depay. It looks more likely that Lyon will sell him next Month as Depay will become a Free Agent in June. French outlet L’Equipe – as cited by MilanNews has stated that Depay has said he wants to go to Barcelona or Milan. So he could possibly leave Lyon for Milan as early as January and for as little as €5million.

Milan want to sign Dalot on a permanent deal.

According to reports in Italy, Milan want to make Diogo Dalot’s loan move from Manchester United permanent.

The Portuguese right-back joined the Rossoneri on a dry loan deal in the summer transfer window.

The deal, however, came with a gentleman agreement that would allow the Rossoneri to discuss the player’s permanent move during the season.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan want to begin transfer talks to sign the 21-year-old permanently.

Manchester United are reportedly willing to cash in on the Portuguese defender as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer relies on Aaron Wan-Bissaka and ha set sights on Kieran Trippier, Nordi Mukiele and Max Aarons.

Dalot’s permanent transfer is not a priority for Milan who need to extend the contracts of Gigio Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu first.

Once the saga concerning their stay at the club is over, the Serie A table leaders will begin talks with the Red Devils.

Dalot has one goal and two assists in 11 appearances across all competitions with the Diavoli so far this season.

There will be an 'optional' training session tomorrow at Milanello. On December 30th all the players should return to training ahead of the Benevento match on Sunday. Kjær could return to working with the group on Tuesday or Wednesday. [MN] https://t.co/VsjnTL7zQ5
