The value of AC Milan’s stars continues to rise as the latest updates have been made to Transfermarkt’s database regarding how much players are worth.

The source reports (via MilanLive) that the total value of the Milan squad is €508.80m, which puts them in fourth place, ahead of Roma (€386.85m), but behind Napoli (€533m), Inter (€618.30m) and Juventus (€678.10m).

Franck Kessie has seen his value increase even further as he has gone from €40m to €50m, therefore an increase of €10m, but he remains behind Gianluigi Donnarumma who remains stable at €60million.

Theo Hernandez also makes the podium with a value of €50m , while Ismael Bennacer remains in fourth at €40m despite his long break due to injury.

Right behind the African duo are Hakan Calhanoglu – with a value of €35m (up by €5m), Ante Rebic and Sandro Tonali, both at €32m.

Arturo Vidal has reportedly not met the expectations at #Inter and seems set to leave already after one season with the Nerazzurri.

With Diogo Dalot returning to Manchester United at the end of the season, AC Milan led by technical director Paolo Maldini along with sporting director Frederic Massara are looking in the market for a quality alternative to Italy International Davide Calabria ahead of the next summer transfer window, and have reportedly set their sights on a Serie A right-back.

According to the latest informations provided by Calciomercato, the Rossoneri were impressed by Torino’s defender Wilfried Singo, whom they have been following him for several months and are willing to give a try in the coming weeks.

Anyway, a discussion is planned with president Cairo to talk about Meite’s redemption and the speech concerning Singo will also be addressed. The Milanese club wants to understand if there is room to start a real negotiation and get information on the evaluation of the Torro on their promising talent..

AC Milan still have a good chance of keeping Gianluigi Donnarumma but have begun to scout possible alternatives, a report claims.

The Rossoneri must resolve the situation regarding Gigio sooner rather than later given that his contract is set to expire in 98 days, and SportMediaset (via MilanLive) are reporting that a number of clubs are beginning to grow in confidence that they can land him.

PSG and Chelsea are willing to meet the demands of the 22-year-old and his agent Mino Raiola, while in Italy only Juventus could reach an agreement with Raiola given their excellent relations, but to date the renewal idea with Milan remains the most likely option.

The report claims that they showed a graph in their broadcast which had a 40% chance of Milan renewing Donnarumma. Leonardo’s PSG are on pole should he leave at 30%, ahead of Chelsea (20%) and Juventus (10%).

The feeling, however, is that in the end Donnarumma will renew. Despite this, the management have been forced to look at potential replacements given the difficult nature of the negotiations, and Mike Maignan of Lille is the most credible target due to the valuation of €12-13m. Juan Musso and Pierluigi Gollini are also targets, but would cost €30m each.

GdS: Milan’s scouting team left impressed by 21-year-old forward who could leave Benfica
By Oliver Fisher - 24 March 2021, 14:02
AC Milan are closely following Benfica striker Darwin Nunez as they look to bolster their attacking department ahead of next season, a report claims.

Speculation is rife among media outlets that the Rossoneri will enter the market in search of a new centre-forward during the upcoming mercato, one who can be a reliable deputy to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, growing under the wing of the Swede before taking over from him when he retires.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan are very attentive to young talents around the world and for this reason – thanks to their scouting department – the club are also closely following Darwin Nunez.

Although he only joined the Portuguese team in the last summer window, there is already the impression that the Uruguayan forward could leave after just a year because Benfica might not be able to resist the idea of making a quick profit on the 21-year-old.

Report: Milan eye another Brescia star after Tonali and have advantage over Napoli, Fiorentina
By Oliver Fisher - 24 March 2021, 13:17
AC Milan are still interested in landing Andrea Cistana from Brescia ahead of the summer mercato, according to a report.

Not for the first time, SerieBnews.com are reporting that the name of Cistana is a name that appeals to directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara as Milan continue to follow the profile of the young centre-back, regarded as one of the best defenders in Serie B.

Relations between Milan and Brescia are excellent after the Sandro Tonali negotiation, and the two clubs have maintained a good ‘neighbourly’ relationship, given they are also based in Lombardia. The 23-year-old is set to come back after a very long absence due to a serious knee injury.

The player has not lost his admirers despite the knee issue as Napoli and Fiorentina remain at the window, as well as other top clubs, but Milan have an advantage because of their relations with Brescia and their youth project.

GdS: Elliott Management stand firm on Milan’s wage cap but will make two exceptions
By Oliver Fisher - 24 March 2021, 13:24
AC Milan’s owners Elliott Management are standing firm on their desire to bring down the wage budget, a report claims, but they will make two exceptions.

The American fund have concocted the recipe for returning to the top, and that it contains structural investments (such as the stadium project) and the consolidation of accounts.

For example, the wage bill has been slashed considerably from €140m when they took over the club to the current €90m – as per a recent edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport – while the balance on the market is back in the green after six years (+25.3m in 2020-21).

However, the issue of the wage budget is set to come back into fashion as several contract situations need resolving. The same paper (via MilanNews) confirms that the will of the owners is to contain the costs of renewals with two exceptions; namely Gigio Donnarumma and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. For this reason, Elliott do not intend to exceed €4m net per season for Calhanoglu.

This is bad, doing it for two what will the rest think, this partiality may hurt others feelings and could bring the unity of the squad apart.
Gigio getting 10m,Zlatan 7m because their agent is greedy then Hakan too deserve the 5m he want because he is equally good us the two and henceforth all the agents will demand more when their players contract runs down.

Mediaset: Donnarumma gives priority to Milan renewal as

Baresi: “Tomori is a champion. We want to keep him. On Tonali and Donnarumma…”

Franco Baresi, Milan vice president, spoke in a long interview with Gazzetta dello Sport.
ON THE MOMENT OF AC MILAN
We must continue to do our best. Against Fiorentina we gave a good signal. Rivals must be respected. There are teams that fight with enthusiasm, like Atalanta.
ON THE COMPARISON WITH INTER
We are two different teams. Milan is proactive, we always take the field with courage. The results are rewarding Pioli.
ON ITALIAN PLAYERS
Having Italian players is our tradition, they often grow up in Milanello. For us it is important.
ON TOMORI
He is imposing himself with great determination and talent. He faced our Championship without fear. It has the qualities of the champion. We will do our best to buy it. There are still two months. It will not depend only on Milan.
ON ROMAGNOLI
He has to think about recovering from his injury. Our captain remains a reference for everyone.
ABOUT DONNARUMMA
Bringing the captain’s armband to 22 is a privilege. He must know. We know your value and we know how important your stay with us will be.
BFDBBD39-2C30-4069-B224-598146FAB338.jpeg

ON TONALI
We expect a lot from a player with his qualities. But he’s only 20 years old. In recent months he has improved a lot.
ABOUT IBRAHIMOVIC
It no longer amazes me. He is a boy at heart. I was struck by his tears at the press conference. Ibra manager with me? You have to ask him. I’m just saying there is time. He can still play for a long time.
ON THE MOST AMAZING PLAYER
The player who surprised me the most is Kessie. He has grown a lot. Today he is a footballer who also affects the performance of his teammates.
ON THE NEXT TARGET
This is a young group. The results are coming. The credit goes to Pioli who managed to create a special atmosphere. Let’s think about the present. If there are important goals, the company will move accordingly.

MANDZUKIC – The Croatian is almost ready. Mandzukic has only played 157 minutes this season and wants to contribute in this season finale. He may return after Easter. His presence for the match against Sampdoria is uncertain.

LEAO – The Portuguese has recovered from his muscle injury. He will be available for Milan – Sampdoria.

REBIC – Croatian is available. His injury has been disposed of. After the Milan appeal, Rebic is waiting for the verdict of the sports judge. He has already served one day of disqualification.

CALABRIA – For the recovery of Davide Calabria we will have to wait a few more weeks. According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the full-back could return in three weeks. Calabria will play a match with the Primavera before returning to the First Team.

ROMAGNOLI – The conditions of the defender are still to be evaluated. His return is uncertain. He should be back in stock in a few weeks

📰 Tuttosport: Ibrahimovic could return early from Sweden duty - the current hypothesis

sempremilan.com/tuttosport-ibr… #SempreMilan

According to what Tuttosport is reporting today (via MilanLive), Ibrahimovic could leave Sweden’s retreat earlier than expected because the plan of the striker and head coach Janne Andersson is to use him against Kosovo on Sunday, but not for the friendly at home against Estonia which follows.

It is therefore possible that Ibra will be able to return to Milanello as early as next Monday or Tuesday, or after the game in Kosovo, sitting out the friendly match on 31 March. At the moment no official news has arrived on the use of Ibra, but given his age it seems very unlikely that he will play in all three games.

Not only that, but Milan are about to experience a crucial phase of their season and everyone’s help will be needed to keep second place.

📰 AC Milan have offered Franck Kessie a new five-year contract at 3.5 million per season while the player wants 4.4 million. An agreement could be reached at 4 million.
