Kasome kitabu kilichotoka leo kuhusu Chato baada ya mwenda zake na hali halisi ilivyo.
Watu wangemwangalia mwalimu maisha aliyoishi kabla na baada ya kuwa Rais wa nchi kwa miaka 25. Rais aliyejengewa nyumba na serikali baada ya kukuta bado alikuwa anaishi nyumba aliyoijenga kwenye 50s. Leo unakuwa rais unajenga uwanja wa ndege wa kimataifa kama Mobutu halafu unahamisha wanyama toka mbuga nyingine kuwaleta kwenu ili upate watalii???
Tushukuru kwamba alitoweka haraka kabla matajiri wote hawajaishia lupango au kutoweka.

nikikumbuka club Billicanas na Much more na mashamba ya Mbowe kule Machame yalivyovunjwa na kuharibiwa kiubabe, jamaa leo hii yupo futi sita kwa ground! Aisee tenda wema uende zako! Yaani marais woote kuanzia Nyerere, Mwinyi, Mkapa na Kikwete hawakuona ubaya wa biashara zile bali Mkulungwa toka Chato!

At least miradi ya Chato ingepelekwa Geita kungekuwa na mji wa maana sana! ila jamaa alijua kugawa zaidi kuliko kuimarisha na kuunganisha!

Yaezekana utabir ukatimia, kwan walinda legacy wanasemaje?Pata picha kwa speed hii, try to figure out, how will Chato be in 2035 after this heavy investment starting now if at all he will stay in power for 10 years, i hear a talk about textile factories but i read of gazetted GOT tenders about construction of an international Airport less than 140 km from what is soon to be Mwanza International Airport while Mtwara and Lindi with resources valued at over $400 bln that need over $30 bln worthy of investment; lays idle without the necessary infrastructure to support those massive investment projects i.e. mega LNG plant. A rival Mozambique has already built an international airport at Nacala to make the movement of poeple easier at both the Nacala port and Ruvuma basin where massive gas at over 160 Tcf compared to ours at 57 Tcf has been discovered!

Wananchi wa Chato wana haki ya kupata huduma ziluzo muhimu kuendana na mahitaji yao kwa kuzingatia vigezo mbalimbali.
Wananchi wa Chato wana haki ya kupata huduma ya maji, huduma ya barabara, huduma ya hospitali, n.k. lakini kwenda kuweka uwanja mkubwa wa ndege kijijini Chato au hospitali ya rufaa Chato, ulikuwa upuuzi wa hali ya juu usioweza kupata justification. Nina hakika hata wananchi wa Chato wangeulizwa wanahitaji huduma gani kwa wakati ule, wasingetaja uwanja wa ndege.
Kwa priority, huduma ya umma inaangaliwa pia hiyo huduma ya hapo mahali itahudumua watu wangapi. Ni aheri wachache wasafiri kuifuata huduma mahali ambapo kuna watu wengi kuliko kinyume chake.

Jibu la hoja yako obviously ni kuwa hao ni watu pia...
Lakini hoja hapa ni mgawanyo wa rasrimali kwa kuzingatia vipaumbele na uhitaji watu kwa eneo husika..
Mathalani, kama hoja ni hiyo; kwanini isingekuwa Ngara? Au Kaliua Tabora? Au Tandahimba - Songea? Au Kishapu - Shinyanga? Si na huko Kuna watu?
Iwe tunaelewa au hatuelewi, lakini ukweli ni kuwa hakukuwa na hitaji la International Airport kule Chato kwa wakati ule, sasa na mpaka kesho!!
Labda wangehitaji uwanja wa ndege wenye hadhi Ile miaka 50 au 100 ijayo. Badala yake kule kwa kuwa nao ni watu, basi wangepelekewa kile walichohitaji by that time mfano hospitali nzuri, barabara nzuri nk nk
And to be honest, pesa hizo zilizopelekwa na kutumika kujengea uwanja huo huko CHATO, basi maamuzi sahihi na yenye busara ingekuwa ni kutumika kupanua uwanja wa ndege wa Mwanza na kuufanya kuwa na hadhi ya kimataifa. Hii ndiyo ingekuwa akili. na sio ulimbukeni wa maamuzi ya hayati JPM...
