Tel Aviv: In a major possible escalation amid the ongoing war between Israel and Iran, the Iranian army is preparing to respond to Israel’s attack that took place on October 26. Iran is expected to use more deadly weapons against Israel than the ballistic missiles used last time, as per a report by American newspaper Wall Street Journal. The American Journal has quoted Iranian and Arab officials about plans to attack Israel and said that Iran is continually preparing to attack the Jewish state. “Much stronger and more complex”, an Egyptian official was quoted saying in the report regarding Iran’s response to the October 26 Israeli airstrikes.
The report reveals that Iran’s military is set to partake in this operation. Differing from the past missile attacks on April 13-14 and October 1, led by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the new strategic plan seems to zero in more closely on Israeli defense spots. What’s even more interesting is that the Iranian army might make use of Iraqi lands for their missile launching.
Tehran will not hesitate to take “stronger defensive actions” if Israel retaliates for last week’s missile attack by Tehran, Iran‘s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said on Friday. Iran is “fully prepared to take stronger defensive actions, if necessary, in response to any further aggression, and will not hesitate to do so,” Araqchi said in a letter to other foreign ministers, according to a ministry post on X.
Israel has repeatedly said it will respond to Iran‘s missile attack on Oct. 1, launched in retaliation for Israeli strikes in Lebanon and Gaza and the killing of a Hamas leader in Iran.
Araqchi said in his letter that Iran’s missile attack on Israel had been in accordance with its right to self defence under international law and followed much restraint as it sought a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza. Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant has said Israel will hit Iran in a way that will be “lethal, precise and surprising”.
