Mungiki will always remain to be a Kikuyu sect since their beliefs and rituals r being carried out according to Kikuyu customs! Maina Njenga's expulsion or quitting from Mungiki and joining CORD does not mean CORD supports Mungiki!

It did not escape my attention that the letter was dated 13th, judgement was on 15th and there was no mention of any form of intimidation either in the courtroom or outside until a week later. I only reminded me of a closed door meeting that took place between the chief justice and Hillary Clinton.

Why would a junior immigration officer stop the CHIEF JUSTICE of Kenya and refuse to allow him to leave the country. Which law was he following? Where does he get the galls, chutzpah, audacity to do so?

Why do they later on call the CJ to apologize?

It's either you are naive or like the Kenyatta apologist, Dhuks, you are blinded by tribal affiliation and will defend everything Kibaki, kimemia, karangi or Kenyatta does.

The honorable CJ's name is not tainted and he has overseen the reformation of our judiciary. He is an honorable man that has stood up to Kibaki and Raila and has always guarded the constitution. He brought forth the evidence and he is not the type that would swear in a president at night like his predecessor.

I do not think you are a Kenyan though, just another naive hot head.

Maina Njenga is not Mungiki and Mungiki is not Maina Njenga. Mungiki is a sect not a gang and Maina Njenga's dalliance with CORD reflects on his person and not the whole sect! The sect has splintered, there are those that are bitterly opposed to Uhuru but a vast majority side with Uhuru just as they did in 2007. Stop playing the naivety card!

Hey guys...i think the CJ did the honorable thing by letting the cat out of the bag. In Kenya we have 3 arms of government;
1. Executive- presidency
2. Judiciary- CJ
3. Legislature- Speaker of the National assembly.

In essence, all the three heads are principals in their own right; infact they keep each others powers in check for excessess but not dictating to each other with a unique preserve to the judiciary incase of a litigation process.

Now, how does a junior officer deny a whole CJ permission to travel without merit inferring to possible security breeches or no sane justification? The whole executive was playing dirty here with the "Mt. KENYA" officers frustrating a non politico-centric outfit.

About Mungiki its common knowledge whom they adore and pledge allegiance to but that aside, when a high ranking officer is threatened with death to circumvent the actualisation of a fair hearing and that which is not adulterated; it raises a big concern even to the ordinary mwananchi. KENYA BLED FOR THIS NEW CONSTITUTION AND ANY ATTEMPT BY THE FORCES OF DARKNESS, ”MASHETANI“, TO MUTILATE IT OR INFLUENCE THE FREE WILL OF THE JUDICIARY SHOULD BE ULTIMATELY BE RESISTED IN UNEQUIVOCAL TERMS....

this was the message of the CJ if am right, not the cord machnery.....

Infact am non partisan in this matter as it borders on the sovereignity of the judiciary. Kenyans we need to look into the finer lens. some events in the executive are not Cord inspired.

When Kimemia gathers a team to look into such serious issues only after the CJ has publicly complained about the same it really is a sorry state of affairs, its wanting and a total disrepute of the chair of the CJ and the importance that arm of government services' to this nation. The mans life was threatened, resolute and timely response was the biggest favour the security machinery would have accorded the CJ.

Jaji mkuu wa Kenya Willy Mutunga,ametangaza kuwa anatishwa na baadhi ya wanasiasa na mkuu wa utumishi wa umma vitisho ambavyo anavitasfiri kama njama ya kumshinikiza kutekeleza maslahi yao.
Madai haya yanajiri wakati Kenya ikijiandaa kwa uchaguzi mkuu unaotarajiwa kufanyika chini ya wiki mbili.

Aidha Jaji Mutunga ameelezea kuwa alipokea vitisho hivi karibuni wakati kesi iliyowahusisha mgombea wa urais Uhuru Kenyatta na mgombea mwenza wake William Ruto ilipokuwa inasikilizwa. Barua hiyo pia ilikuwa inawataisha majaji na mabalozi
Jaji Mutunga amesema kuwa vitisho dhidi ya idara ya mahakama havitawafanya majaji kutekeleza maslahi ya watu au kundi fulani la watu.
Wawili hao ni washukiwa wa uhalifu wa kivita katika mahakama ya ICC na mahakama kuu ya Kenya wiki jana ilipaswa kuamua ikiwa washukiwa hao wanaweza kugombea urais au la.
Uamuzi uliotolewa na mahakama hiyo hata hivyo ulisema kuwa mahakama hiyo haina uwezo wa kuamua kesi hiyo na kwamba mahakama ya juu zaidi Kenya ndiyo ina uwezo pekee kutoa uamuzi.
Jaji mkuu Willy Mutunga alisema kuwa ujumbe wa barua aliyopkea ulikuwa unamtisha kuwa angetendewa jambo baya na kundi haramu la Mungiki ikiwa atatoa uamuzi wasioupendelea katika kesi ya wawili hao.
Uhuru Kenyatta na William Ruto wanakabiliwa na kesi ya uhalifu wa kivita katika mahakama ya ICC


Kundi hilo pia lilihusishwa na ghasia za baada ya uchaguzi mkuu mwaka 2007 ambapo ilisemekana kuwa Uhuru Kenyatta alidaiwa kulitumia kushambulia watu wa kabila la Kalenjin mkoani Rift Valley.
Mutunga aliituhumu serikali kwa kumfanyia dhulma baada ya kuamrishwa na afisaa mmoja wa uhamiaji kusafiri kwenda Dar es Salaam kwani hakuwa na idhini ya mtumishi mkuu wa umaa Francis Kimemia.
Bwana Mutunga alisema hatishiki na kuwa hahitaji idhini kutoka kwa Kimemia kabla ya kusafiri kwenda nje ya nchi.
Pia ameelezea wasiwasi kuwa majaji wanatishwa kisiasa huku nchi ikiwa inaelekea katika uchaguzi mkuu.
Mutunga amesema hatatishika kwani amekuwa mmoja wa wapiganiajai wa demokrasia Kenya na kwamba yuko tayari kwa lolote wanalompangia.
Chini ya uongozi wa jaji mkuu huyu, idara ya mahakama imeweza kusifiwa kwa mageuzi makubwa kwani sasa inaonekana kuwa huru na kuwa ni vigumu kuwashawishi majaji kuegemea upande wowote.
Mawakili nao wamelaani vitisho dhidi ya majaji na idara nzima ya mahakama wakiitaka serikali kuchunguza madai hayo
