But AshaDii, to know you know nothing is knowing something, right? So if you know you know nothing that means you already know something and that something is nothing.

Precisely Ngabu! na that is why nimeuliza the below....

Maybe we should establish the fact in "knowledge" it self... Is the knowledge entirely based on knowing you don't know anything about something you don't know? Or is the knowledge based on knowing you know you know nothing about something you don't know?

The bottom line is, it is impossible to know that you know nothing.

If you know nothing, you can't know that you know nothing because knowing that you know nothing is already knowing something.

Yeah...a knowledge of not knowing, is an outcome after a comparison....

Enways i drop the above and let us try it by taking it another direction.... If you don't mind please answer "Do you have any vague idea if on the 3rd of January it is going to rain in Dar or not?"

There is no 3rd of January as defined above.

The word except changes everything. He is not saying he knows nothing, he says he knows something, which is his ignorance.

It is impossible to know that you know nothing.

"The door step to the temple of wisdom is a knowledge of our own ignorance" Benjamin Franklin.

Its better to say you know that you know something about knowing nothing, but trully, i seem to aggree with some of the members and hence dissagreeing with Socrates?

How is it possible to know that you know nothing where as knowing that you know nothing already contradicts the fact that you know nothing?

Vipi kuhusu "misunderestimate" a la George W. Bush?
