Taxes are always paid in country of origin (Tanzania, Kenya, etc.) however Mauritius limits additional taxes to be paid on top of those taxes already levied. So taxes are still paid in Tanzania, but there is a limited additional tax levied by Mauritius. I would suggest that you talk to KPMG directly. They can explain these recommendations and the double taxation issues,” Ubongo noted further.

There is a very thin line between tax avoidance and tax evasion.

Reading of the one company, Ubungo, their defense sounds plausible. Could they be lying? Did they actually receive the funds before re-registering as an NPE? Wataalamu wa uchumi mtudadavulie tafadhali. It would be such a shame if Ubongo Kids is found guilty of this. I love their work.
