Asante Mzalendo Dotori. Annual General Meeting itakuwa this coming August 2008. We are doing a ground work for that meeting now including seeking opinions here at JF.
Thanks Datori. Please let us meet before if possible to share ideas. U dont need to disclose your identity if u prefer so, but I really want TPN to make a huge transformation now than ever. One year is enough to study ourselves and make necessary changes.
Mkuu Dotori
Mengi yameongelewa hapa, of course you are not bound to agree with JF members' pieces of advice; At least mengine yatawasaidia.
Ninapendekeza any person who is accredited member of any professional body like I, should be prioritised, so next time I visit your office will only show you my professional membership card and should register me at instant. Samething should be applied to registered engineers, doctors, lawyers, etc. Your organisation is all about Professionals. Isn't?
You should think also what will happen when you will have one milion members. What will happen when all founder members retire? Say in 20 years' time.
Be careful the Name Tanzania Professionals Network might be bigger than the way you people at TPN think. Please bear in mind that Tanzania has a population of almost 40 milion.

Unfortunately August, I will be out of town. But I can still contribute electronically if the agenda is distributed ahead of the meeting.
Msimbe, as I have said before the idea is good, but it needs all of us to use our diverse background to enrich it and take it to the next level.
Ushauri wangu ni kuwa kwa sababu mmepata idea kibao hapa JF, sio rahisi kuzishughulikia zote kwa mara moja, fanyeni mtakazoweza ila tunzeni idea zote mlizopewa na with time mtakuwa mnapitia ideas na kuendelea kurekebisha, si mnafahamu mtaka yote kwa pupa.......................
I agree. Let me put some thoughts together on the way forward for the TPN and I will share them with you.
Mkuu Njimba, hii thread nitaifanyia majumuisho na kuwapelekea members ili nao watoe maoni yao.
Kwa sasa tunao Madaktari, Engineers, Waalimu etc. actually its a mixture of all professionals. Others are even readers from respective professional organizations.
According to 2002 Census, there could be a toatl of about 1.5 Millions Professionals with specialized training from form IV to University Level. However, there could be around 500,000 only graduates. If we open up membership to others baas well then we may be talking of 5 Million members. We should at least be able to set a strategy on how we can increase membership.
Is pity that out of say almost 40 M residents around 500 000 are graduates. Tanzania we have a long way to go.
Mr President increase membership, yes, that is good idea, but there is another side of the coin, how to accommodate all of them, ha! ha! ha! ha! think of that also.
I do not like Tanzanian politics, as is full of people who are not politician themselves at first place. That is why I think if TPN can manage to bring together all professionals future leaders can come from there, TPN be can be a strong engine to mould future leaders, businessmen, professionals, etc.
I also do not like an idea of TPN to establish a bank. TPN should concentrate on technical part of how to help people to handle their business. Leave banks to handle money, but you should concetrate on how to educate people on how to use the money they have taken from the bank. If I am not mistaken even CEOs of banks are members of TPN.
Nawakilisha
Njimba

Who knows mnaweza kujidevelop na kuanzisha even kiwanda in the future. Ndio watu wanavyofanya nchi za wenzetu. Hebu jaribu kuafatilia history ya makampuni makubwa duniani yalianza na yameendelea vipi. Wazo langu binafsi
Once again Thanks TPN
Who knows mnaweza kujidevelop na kuanzisha even kiwanda in the future. Ndio watu wanavyofanya nchi za wenzetu. Hebu jaribu kuafatilia history ya makampuni makubwa duniani yalianza na yameendelea vipi. Wazo langu binafsi
Once again Thanks TPN
Njimba, although we may be talking of 5 M potential members, it is not necessarily that all of them can be active and involved. For example, am aware that UDSM convocation members database is having about 40,000 graduates. However I have never seen many in convocation functions. I doubt if in a single event of convocation they can be above 1000.
Although we may approximate potential Members to 5 M, we can initially target few of them who are energetic and commited. We will need to open up chapters in regions to start with as well as abroad. We will need to discuss the strategies in TPN.
I think your idea about TPN managing to bring together all professionals and future leaders is excellent. We need to work on philosophy of UZALENDO in a real sense. And if the cohesion of Professionals who are WAZALENDO can be so strong, then TPN could be true the engine to mould future leaders, businessmen, professionals, etc
Regarding TPN Bank, yes it may not be the right time now, but believe me one of the biggest problems is in financing the plans and activities of TPN. We MUST build our own strength instead of depending on Donors or Commercial Banks with difficult conditions. We can start with TPN Fund, some sort of specialized SACCOS just to make assist Members and TPN move smoothly while we work on different challenges.
F2S,
Tuwape mda tu hawa TPN labda hapo mbeleni watatuonyesha mambo makubwa nafikiri changamoto zako wataziona.
