Njimba, although we may be talking of 5 M potential members, it is not necessarily that all of them can be active and involved. For example, am aware that UDSM convocation members database is having about 40,000 graduates. However I have never seen many in convocation functions. I doubt if in a single event of convocation they can be above 1000.
Although we may approximate potential Members to 5 M, we can initially target few of them who are energetic and commited. We will need to open up chapters in regions to start with as well as abroad. We will need to discuss the strategies in TPN.
I think your idea about TPN managing to bring together all professionals and future leaders is excellent. We need to work on philosophy of UZALENDO in a real sense. And if the cohesion of Professionals who are WAZALENDO can be so strong, then TPN could be true the engine to mould future leaders, businessmen, professionals, etc
Regarding TPN Bank, yes it may not be the right time now, but believe me one of the biggest problems is in financing the plans and activities of TPN. We MUST build our own strength instead of depending on Donors or Commercial Banks with difficult conditions. We can start with TPN Fund, some sort of specialized SACCOS just to make assist Members and TPN move smoothly while we work on different challenges.
