There is no traffic in Tanzania. That's why all the JNIA pictures you will see are those empty ones.
I have always said that GOT is impulsive in how it puts infrastructure while GOK is strategic. Notice that the major investments in connectivity around airports in Nairobi ,mombasa and kisumu are currently being tailored around business travellers while eldoret is geared more towards cargo traffic.
 
The trend is reducing if you don't know. In 2018 it handled 2.3m from 2.5m.
From the link you provided on world bank talking about Kisumu, You will notice Kenya always puts a very conservative estimate in it's feasibility studies.

i) Kisumu Airport Upgrade feasibility study: 200,000 passengers but in reality it has out performed to handle over 800,000.
ii) sgr feasibility study: 10 cargo trains daily in 5 years of operation, in reality it managed that in less than 2 years of operation.
GOT pumps up numbers in feasibility studies to pacify and hoodwink their citizens

Please be sure of what you are posting. It is likely these figures are fake. Mombasa airport handled 1.4m in passengers in 2018 and it's not in the list. Why? You are claiming that KIA serves 890k passengers and yet it is not in the list of the busiest airports in Africa, Why?

I think kuna vitu it might be unaona ni impuslive while nyingne sio. Let's say Terminal 2 was built in 1984, it was outdated..its it impulsive using 300mil usd kujenga T3 which can do the work for years.

Instead of building Bagamoyo port we choose to expand Dar port you call that impulsive.

Kenya has a strong domestic traffic than all East African countries. It also receives passengers from Entebbe.

Ni kweli, but you have stronger domestic routes pia. I think many airlines have brought affordable prices, plus shorter distances ..etc

I don't know the passengers number per day from Kisumu to JKIA. But also remember there are daily flights of Kisumu-Wilson, Kisumu-Mombasa, Kisumu- Eldoret, Kisumu-Malindi, Kisumu-Mara etc

Songwe nayo inaumuhimu wake. Mbeya na Songwe ni mkoa ya kilimo kwahyo bila airport inakua haimake sense. Imagine kutoka Dar hadi Mbeya ni zaidi ya 800km, kwa umbali huo kutegema barabara pekee kama namna ya uchukuzi ni dhambi mbaya.

Airports are always ranked by the number of passengers and amount of cargo they receive not capacity. Tutawafunza hadi lini?
