- The Jubilee party has rejected names of new staff proposed by the IEBC to oversee the coming Presidential election - Jubilee's Secretary General Raphael Tuju revealed that Jubilee was dissatisfied by the fact that some members are known to be partisan.
There has been a stalemate between the NASA alliance and the electoral commission which forced the IEBC to reorganise its secretariat ahead of the coming election - The IEBC had also proposed that the Presidential Election be held on Wednesday October 17,2017 Jubilee party has written to the IEBC objecting the appointment of nine officials to oversee fresh polls.
The party Secretary General Raphael Tuju in a complaint letter to the electoral body says the new team is known to be biased thus will disadvantage its candidate president Uhuru Kenyatta. Uhuru is set for a repeat election with Raila on October 17 after his win in the August 8 election was nullified by the Supreme Court. Uhuru's Jubilee party has rejected IEBC list of officials picked to oversee his grand rematch with Raila.
Moses Kuria Tuju told the commission chairman Wafula Chebukati that Jubilee has received credible information that the new officials are pro-Raila.
