PCCB: We can't probe dead Kagoda directors

Investigation into the involvement of Kagoda Agricultural Company in Bank of Tanzania's External Payment Arrears (EPA) account has got stuck because the individuals behind the firm have died.
Prevention and Combating of Corruption Bureau (PCCB) director general Dr Edward Hoseah claimed here on Thursday when talking to editors who attended a two-day interactive training on corruption issues.
Dr. Hosea said that PCCB efforts proved futile because the two deceased directors were the only footprints of Kagoda company.
"Our investigations into Kagoda has been frustrated because, how can we pursue deceased persons?" Hoseah wondered.
He further said that the PCCB was still ready to make further probes into the company if anybody with fresh evidence or any relevant information with regard to the company could submit it to the corruption watchdog.
He said PCCB was currently struggling to get fresh details from anybody regarding the Kagoda firm so they could proceed with their investigations.
Kagoda Agriculture Ltd was the single biggest beneficiary of funds looted from the EPA account after it received dubious payments amounting to more than 40bn/-.
Dr. Hosea, meanwhile, said that former cabinet minister Andrew Chenge was being investigated for possessing property yet to be justified.
The PCCB boss, however, insisted that there was not even an iota of truth over allegations that the Bariadi West MP was implicated in the radar case.
"Chenge is not related to the radar scam. The allegation has no iota of truth. But we are investigating him on unexplained possession of property," he confirmed.
He said investigations by the anti-graft bureau and UK's Serious Fraud Office (SFO), did not establish involvement of the politician, who resigned as a minister in 2008 over a host of corruption allegations, including the radar scandal.
The former attorney general is among Tanzanians named in the scam under which additional money was paid in the USD 40 million contract for the purchase of the radar from the British defence company, BAE.
"The transaction happened in the UK, not in Tanzania, and involved British nationals who shared amongst themselves the loot," he said, noting that 31 per cent of the additional funds was factored in the contract for the purchase of the radar.

JK hawezi kuwagusa kwa maana hao ndo yeye anaona wananchi bora kuwalinda katika nchi hii kuliko sisi wengine kwa maana ndio walomfanya aingie madarakani. So he really works for them and not watanzania wengine. So kudeal nao ni kama anawasaliti, na anajua reaction yake hatoiweza. Hii ishu ni ngumu kwa Serikali kucheza nayo mana serikali hii hii ndo iliyobariki huo mpango mzima, na si ajabu na serikali ni beneficiary wa fedha za EPA. We hushangai kwanini DPP hana nyaraka zote hizi na hadi leo kashindwa kufile case mahakamani eti kwa sababu ya kipuuzi tu ya kukosa ushahidi wakati 99% ya nyaraka hizo ni mawasiliano kati ya majizi ya EPA na serikali???? we hii inakuingia akilini????why DPP et al wanasema hawana ushahidi??? kama wameshindwa kukusanya ushahid katika suala la wazi kama hili, ushahidi wa masuala complex wanaukusanyaje??????this is a joke kwa wananchi, nadhani kwa kauli kwamba serikali imeshindwa kukusanya ushahid wa kagoda, Kama serikali ingekuwa inania ya dhati ya kudeal na kagoda akina DCI, DPP, Hosea et al walipaswa kuachishwa kazi mara moja. Lakini wapi bwana hadi leo wanadunda kwa kodi zetu. Hii amani tunayobezwa nayo ipo siku tutaamua kama mbwahi mbwahi bwana!!! hatuwezi kukubahi.

Bosi wa PCCB katika scandals tata zote nadhani anahisa yake (10%) maana hakuna deal feki ambazo hajamwaga pumba zake, ama kwa kusafisha wahusika au kuelezea upupu kwa wananchi kama huo hapo juu. Hivi kwa huyu bwana anavyotufanyia wananchi sisi tusio na hatia kwanini nae tusimfanyie kitu mbaya kwa kutusaliti???imagine kula yake hadi kulala kwake ni kodi zetu sisi wanaotuibia na kutusaliti, still badala ya kutusaidia anatudanganya, hivi kwanini jamani????naskia uchungu sana kwa haya tunayofanyiwa na serikali, watumishi wa aina ya kina hosea et al. IGP,Hosea, DCI na DPP hawa wanafanya kazi kwa maelekezo ya JK na sio kwa kutumia taaluma zao, so bado hawajaelekezwa kudeal na scandals hizi for the reason better known to JK. Kama wasingekuwa na back up/support ya Rais wangetupa majibu ya kagoda. ila kwakuwa hawajapewa maelekezo ya kucheza na kagoda tusiwategemee. Hawa wakiambiwa wamkamate Mbowe na Slaa utawaona jinsi vitambi vinavyocheza kwa kutekeleza maelekezo ya kipumbavu bila kureason. Shame on them.

Watz ni lini tutaacha kulialia? Nani katuroga? Kwa taarifa tu mafisadi (waliopo kwenye siasa) hapa wanajificha nyuma ya wahindi na waarabu baadaye itakuja wasomali maana nao wamejaa tele si hatuna vitambulisho (BASHE NI MBONGO?)
