Mkuu kwa hiyo video public transport system in nairobi is pathetic. Poleni sana aisee.
Kuna watu including myself tulikosoa sana BRT dar kwamba that amount of money we should've built flyovers, but now I realize kikwete alicheza karata dume.
Halafu BRT isn't only having buses in the city my friend, it has to meet certain conditions. They say a true BRT system must have a specialized design, services and infrastructure..
Like the one we have in Dar.
BRT is a nice thing to decongest cities,
Lazima mjenge miundombinu yake na sio buses only,[/QUOTE]
First you need to understand that almost all buses you see in the nairobi metro region are assembled in kenya, the bodies of the buses are completely made locally.... So there is a whole economy of many bisinesses and industries behind the matatu culture in kenya.... Thats why there is so much resistance to put public transport in the hands of the government...
then you should also know that bus you see their was bought by that company to pressure the government to create dedicated lanes for those long buses..... it wasnt bought just to be driven in regular traffic..
there are dedicated lanes bieng constructed in new roads and expressways led by outering road, and it will be bigger and better than yours... besides that, once the SGR phase 1 is 100% complete, there is a light rail project awaiting to be launched to cinnect to all nairobi metro region... hakuna mtu atakua anaeza tuambia lolote!
