Kenya kwa kwenda kivyake ni kuwa inaivamia Somalia na kupigana na kikundi ambacho hakifungwi na sheria zozote au hakijali matokeo ya matendo yao.

Uganda na Kenya wana nafasi ya kuwaadabisha Al shabaab kupitia serikali ya Somalia na sio kwenda kila mmoja na operations zao. Hili ni kosa watakalolijutia kama US na NATO wanavyojutia kujipeleka Afghanistan. Wataifanya hali ya Somalia kuwa more complicated.

Tukumbuke, Huyu kiongozi wa serikali ya Somalia alishafanikiwa kuiweka Somalia katika kuelekea utulivu, lakini tunaelewa nini kilitokea. On the second thought, "international community" waliamua kumrejesha madarakani. Ilisemwa yeye ni muislamu wa siasa kali lakini baada ya kumuondoa ndio wamekuja hao siasa kali na sasa kila mtu anapiga mayowe na kufurahia kuongeza utata na kuifanya Somalia kuwa tete zaidi.

Am I mistaken or there are some people in their right minds supporting this Al Shabab, remember these people have no any common enemy and they don't think twice about mass murdering or planting a bomb here an there or how many innocent people die..
 
You are entitled to your own opinions. I may sound nuts, but I once again stand by my statement based on the economic facts: If Kenya goes down, so does Tanzania, Uganda and the rest of EAC.

Four people have died after a suicide bomb exploded in Mogadishu near where Kenya Foreign Affairs minister and Defence minister were holding a meeting with Somalia officials. The bomb exploded at the ministry of foreign affairs probably targeting the Kenyan ministers.The ministers, Moses Wetangula and Defence Yusuf Hajj had earlier held talks with President of Transitional Federal Government of Somalia.

It is still not known whether the ministers were caught in the line of fire. The Kenyan ministers and TGF discussed ways of cooperating with the TGF government to flash out the Al Shabaab rebel group.

TGF government has already captured rebel held towns of Qoqaani, Dhoobley, Afmadow, Taabto and Diif with the help of Kenya military.

Some Muslim leaders sympathetic to Al shabaab in Somalia have already declared a Jihad against the Kenyan army that has invaded the ‘holy'. Al shabaab has also threatened a suicide attack against Nairobi for entering into Somalia

Security has been stepped up in Nairobi and its environs following threats issued by Al Shabaab militants who have vowed reprisals to protest a military offensive against them. Security agencies have been mobilised in the city and put on alert incase of a possible attack from the militants.

Major installations and places frequented by crowds have been mapped and accorded enough security, officials said on Tuesday. Nairobi Provincial Police chief Antony Kibuchi says they have enhanced security in the city and their intelligence mechanisms to secure the city.

Kibuchi urged Nairobi residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious persons or objects sighted to the nearest police station or police officer near them.

Members of the public have been urged to call emergency lines 999, 112, 020 272 41 54, 020 355 6771 or 020 355 67 80 in case they have anything to report.

"It all starts with us and we must defeat these criminals threatening our peace. Let everyone be vigilant all the time," he said.

Police and especially those from anti-terror unit plan a major operation in the city to arrest a number of sympathisers of the militant group who are hiding in estates.

Al Shabaab militants through their spokesman Ali Mohamud Rage announced on Monday that they intend to carry out reprisals to protest the military operation against them inside Somalia.

At least Somalia wamepakana na Kenya, na Kenya wakiamua jambo they mean business. Ingekua sisi ndio tumepakana na Somalia na hii serikali yetu legelege saa hizi hayo majangili ya Al Shabab wangekuwa wana-run nchi.
Tungeanza kupangiwa maisha na hizo sheria zao za ajabu ajabu eti hamna kuuzwa sambusa, hamna kuangalia TV sijui premiership, no clubs, no bars, no soccer games etc.

Hii ndio dalili kwamba unachangia ukiwa na ulevi kichwani na ikiwa ndio msimamo wa serikali yako basi uhakika umepatikana kwamba kuna ajenda dhidi ya waislamu wa Somalia halafu itafuata ndani ya Kenya na kwengine Afrika mashariki.
Mimi nilitaraji ikiwa kifo ni kibaya basi yeyote anayesababisha ashughulikiwe kisheria; kumbe tatizo ni pale muuwaji anapokuwa Alshabaab tu.Inatosha kutoa jeshi zima kumtafuta muuwaji ambaye wala hajulikani alipo.Zaidi ni kwamba wala si mauwaji bali ni utekaji nyara tu kama ni kweli..........Wapuuzi wakubwa,Yaa Allah! wape uwezo wa ajabu Alshabaab kuzima ujinga wa Kenya kwa faida ya waislamu wa Afrika Mashariki na kati.

The 1pm bulletin showed images of Kenyan tanks and troops speeding towards the Somali border in the country's first such aggressive military offensive since it became independent from Britain in 1963. No-one among them denied that the goal – to disrupt the activities of al-Shabaab, Somalia's Islamist insurgents – was worthwhile.

But several pointed out that the African Union, with 9,000 Ugandan and Burundian peacekeeping troops, had taken almost four years to push al-Shabaab fighters out of the contained confines of Mogadishu, Somalia's capital. This new military mission into the empty wastes of southern Somalia – with fewer than 1,600 troops as yet untested on the battlefield – is a far harder undertaking.

There is also mounting criticism that the aims of the offensive – ostensibly to create a buffer zone free of the Islamists over the border from Kenya – are too vague to allow swift resolution.

At the same time, the threat to those people sitting eating their lunch on Tuesday, and Nairobi's four million other residents, has suddenly become much graver.

Al-Shabaab has already shown it can attack outside its borders. It killed 76 people watching the World Cup final in two pubs in Uganda last year.

Many now wonder how long it will be until Kenya's capital suffers its first terror attack since the US embassy bombings 13 years ago.
