Just some clarification to the people who do not understand what the gsu is.
The General service unit is part of the Kenya police force. It is a paramilitary wing of the police with several elite units. The most famous is the Recce Company, an elite unit of warriors comparable to the british sas in both training and skill level.Their training is majorly done in the UK, United states and Israel. The gsu is also home to the VIP protection unit which secures VIP visitors to kenya. The GSU units include the Sky Marshal unit. This is the undercover counter terrorist unit on board commercial flights to counter aircraft hijackings. Crisis Response Team, As the name suggests, this team of elite soldiers is always on stand-by to swing into action incase of an operation which has gone out of hand. Last but not least is the Rendition Operation team mostly trained in Israel and America
The Administration police is another paramilitary wing of the police home to special elite units like RDU(Rapid Deployment Unit, training majorly in Israel for about 11 months ) an equivalent of Israel’s Sayaret Matkal , SWAT (special weapons and tactics, training in Kenya and United states of America) .Special Warfare Force , an elite anti terror Administration police unit that has foiled many attacks by Al-shabaab including the attack on a military camp in northern kenya where this squad sent 7 personnel who killed 5 terrorists, injured and arrested 12 more. They normally come to the aid of other security agencies operating in northern kenya and somalia.
These two paramilitary wings of the Kenya police can actually be called upon at any moment in the event of a war to help fighting alongside KDF.
Let nobody be confused these special police units are better equipped and trained than most Armies in Africa. They operate in the shadows behind enemy lines and are capable of fighting all types of warfare Guerilla, Urban(Cities and towns), Counter Terrorism, extraction behind enemy lines etc.
