What has been discussed is that Tanzania is too poor to buy cars, basic household electronics, phones etc.

You have like 10 million more people than Kenya, yet we import more cars, microwaves, TVs, phones, fridges etc. than you.

There can only be two explanations to this.

1. You manufacture those items and hence no need to import them.
2. You cannot afford.

Source if this information. You don't just throw numbers without source. Even your own numbers are not supporting you.

BTW, there is no records in our customs indicate we import buses from Kenya, I don't think any reasonable business person will spend their hard earn cash for a substandard.

Stop hiding your shame in basic economics.

Lakini the fact remains, the richer a country is, the more they import. Their citizens have a higher spending power.

Your hekaya can only make sense if you choose not to import, because you are producing them internally. Lakini hii yenu ni outright poverty.

We always discourage imports in Tanzania. Furniture and luxury cars in TZ are taxed high. Same reason we dont want import of milk and chicken from Kenya to Tanzania. We want to produce what we use and not the vice versa.
The discovery of Oil in UG itakuwa mkombozi mkubwa kwenye uchumi wa TZ since we gonner use less foreign currency to import petrol. Kid just go back to school😂😂😂

Stop with the wishful thinking. Very few luxury cars are imported in Kenya. 99.99% ya hizo gari ni your regular car.
Alafu, Kenyan cars are more expensive because we have a 7 year rule. You can't import cars older than 7 years.
Meaning we're so rich, that we buy more cars, more expensively than you.

Hizo vitu zote unataja, sijui furniture, milk, chicken. They make up less than 1% of imports in both countries.

Main imports ni cars, petroleum, medicine, Telephones and IT products, and other industrial raw materials like rubber, ethylene.
Ndio hii yenu Tanzania.

Kuna kitu kinaitwa balance of trade. Show me that balance from Kunya land and compare it with TZ. Spending has never been determined by imports. Show where you got that??😂😂😂

GDP per capita. The average income of a person in a particular country.

Kenya - $1507
Tanzania - $936

Hekaya mingi za nini?
Kenyans have more money to spend. That's why we buy more gadgets, more electronics, more cars etc. than you.

That's why the last data I could find, I guess 2015, Kenyans imported 100,000 cars. While Tanzanians imported 55,000 cars.

Hio balance of trade Supremo anamwambia ndio tunaita bull crap.
The only thing you are balancing is poverty.
