Kenya to Sell Ports, Banks, Electricity Company etc. to China

Kenya to Sell Ports, Banks, Electricity Company etc. to China

Wenzako hapa hapa JF ndio walileta hizo statistics.

According to USAID, UNICEF na wengineo, over 60% ya population yenu inaishi below the poverty line.
Hapa Kenya, only 40% live below the poverty line.

Kama nilivyokwambia, more Kenyans earn a livable income than Tanzanians.
Kwasababu huko kote unashindwa kuthibitisha, sasa unabadilisha goal post tena.

Nimekupa ushahidi wa Africa, kwamba TBS is second, next to South Africa, challenge its credibility kwa kuonyesha wapi ilitoa taarifa zinazopingana na international statistics na ukweli on the ground. Point iliyopo ni effect ya private sector vs public sector, kwamba Tanzania inafaidika kutokana na ajira nyingi zinazotengenezwa na public sector, that's why Tanzania unemployment rate is far low than Kenya.

kennedy0000 You have a very distorted view that Private companies are somehow "innovative" If you look at substancial new technologies or products, they come out of GoK funded institutions like kemri and research institutions including kenya chamber of commerce interms of new ways of enabling businesses access innovative ways of raising capital and opening certain market segments..
Innovation is Not Equal to business success, US & UK have so many patents in civil engennering and Mobile Tech..But business wise, the socialist parastatals in china Rake in the profits..

The only place government innovates is in research institutes like Kemri. Because that is literally the job of those places.

In business and real life applications, only private enterprises innovate. They have to in order to remain afloat.
Government enterprises know they will be kept afloat by tax payer money.

Mpesa best example.
With that the banks were forced to compete, so they came up with Pesalink.

Look at the media and you'll see the difference between the likes of Citizen and KBC.

Hotels. You enter these government owned hotels and you think you've returned to the 80s.

Kenchic, Farmers Choice.. always bringing new products into the market, new modern packaging, looking for new overseas markets. KMC comfortable with their clientele that consists mostly of government institutions.

Kenol Kobil. Now one of the biggest distributor of petroleum products in the whole region. National Oil has no desire to explore other markets.

In every industry you look, you'll find one government company that just hangs around.

Each of those business failures, the likes of Nakumatt and Chase Bank, all have their own unique issues.
Whether it was over-expansion, debt, stealing depositors money etc.

But all government companies fail for the same reasons every time. Bureaucracy, mismanagement, corruption and stagnation.

In the private sector, you might find that among the established companies, maybe a fail rate of 1%.
Come to the government and you will find like 80% of all corporations have been on their deathbed for many years.

Not all privatizations will be success stories. But statistically, companies are better off in private hands.
There are NO unique business problems my friend, stop trying to spin stories..All business problems are Capital, Management and Markets.
Both private & public companies face these daily and switching shareholding while leaving these problems unresolved is just nonsense..
I will leave it at that, you need to read more as I can clearly see you are very rich ground for polititians who want to control people by use of propaganda..Jubilee is very happy to have the likes of you 👍

Efficiency, delays, lost cargo, corruption. Those are some of the issues that can be sorted at KPA through privatization.

Don't get me wrong. When I say KPA is not doing well, I did not mean Dar is doing better.
Acha maneno mingi wewe, hapo juu umetumia kigezo cha wafanya biashara kukimbilia Dar kuonyesha kwamba hawaridhishwi na Mombasa port kwahiyo wameona bora watumie Dar port, lengo ni kuonyesha kwamba Mombasa port is worse kuliko Dar port, otherwise there is no logic for a businessmen to run away from worse to worst.

Kwasababu huko kote unashindwa kuthibitisha, sasa unabadilisha goal post tena.

World Bank Inapatia TBS zawadi kwa kua most accurate in africa while kenya inaambiwa na IMF kua data zake ya KES zipo juu kwa 17.5%
Then you wonder who realy cooks data?
There are people who live in a magical make belief reality - Yaani wana ishi ndani ya propaganda.

Ndio huu ushahidi.

Kenya Middle class - 11%
Tanzania middle class - 3%

Kenya extreme poverty - 10.9 million
Tanzania extreme poverty - 22 million

Sasa nieleze.

I know you are obsessed with Jubilee, but the privatization started with A-list economist Mwai Kibaki.
So the joke's on you.

Utalia machozi.

Kama percentage kubwa yenu inaishi below the poverty line kuliko Kenya, statistics za unemployment zenu zote zinakosa maana.
Unless unasema mko employed lakini hamlipwi mishahara.

President Kibaki never sold companies to do such silly things as plug budget shortfalls, He sold to Raise Capital for those companies to expand their business and employ more people..suprisingly he bought back alot of shares from Kengen KCB. Et al.
Ever heard of KCB/ Kengen Rights issues? Guess who bought most of the share rights -- Yours truly Mwai Wa Kibaki Government.
Unfortunately I have to say, you are very easy to lie to..

If kenya's Economy was as equaly distributed as Tanzania's There would be no so called middle class..But you choze to look at data and ignore the facts. That is not how an economist acceses an country..Scadinavian coutries are living better than the richest economy - USA.
To you what matters are flashing numbers..Tz can also flash their GNI, FDI. GDP ppp, 7% Growth etc. But it makes no sense as their country is still growing..Hawajafika wanaendelea kwa pamoja unlike kenya where only a group of top individuals are benefiting while vast majority are left behind

Hahahaha, nilipokuletea statistics za 2016 ulisema ni old data, vipi hizi za 2014 are they new?, please bring up-to-date statistics from reliable sources, these are five years old.

Talking of employment. Niligundua Tanzania hujumuisha hadi wafanyikazi wa ndani as employed. Hata wauza makaa CBD. Halafu wabongo wengi wanalipwa mishahara duni sana.kwa mfano, domestic workers are paid 30000tshs gardeners 40oootshs.Sasa unashindwa hiki kipato kinakidhi mahitaji ya hawA watu kweli? Ugandan domestic workers in Kenya are paid $60-$70 per month. So when you hear a Tanzanian talking about employment that's what they are talking about. Hata mama fua ameajiriwa huko bongo. 2% unemployment.

Yes, Making profit by overcharging consumers while management steals billions for themselves and their political godfathers to the tune of 70bn.
How is that "profitable" and who is actualy profiting form KPC?
That is the problem, and privitasation is not the answer
I am with you on this one. All i am saying is that even though these companies are corrupt, they still make profit so no need to privatise such important national security interests. I am not arguing against you, i am just saying that corruption doesn't stop them from making a profit

GDP Korea South 1530.75 USD Billion
GDP Tanzagiza 52.09 USD Billion
mbona una panic sasa bwashee?

Here is were most of Kenyans get all idea of life wrong. Among many Kenyans life is measured by using "money". If there are two businesses one makes profit of $1M per year and employed 10 people, while another business makes profit of $2M per year but employed 3people, which one has more economic value in the country?, most of capitalistic mentality will chose the second one(Kenyans), while Socialists will choose the first one. That's why I am always say, is not easy for Tanzania and Kenya to work together.

In Tanzania we think we are better off because we spent many years after independent to fight division among Tanzanians, we spent resources in terms of time, money and energy to fight tribalism, nepotism, corruption, insecurity and emphasized on building National unity, and other social vices before starting building economy. Kenyans think they are better of because they started with Economy before all these, to majority of Kenyans, life starts with money and it ends with money.

IDPs were resettled or paid long ago.

Hii ya poverty, you kama unataka up to date data, you can adjust by a few percentage points upate estimate.

Woe unto you..
Unlike GDP per Capita where you can argue that the income is unevenly distributed, this one is different.

The data on middle class is in absolute figures.
The data on extreme povery is in absolute figures.

When they say 62% of Tanzanians earn less than $1.9 a day, what is there to debate?
That gives you actual figures.

Hii argument ya 'equally distributed' is just hogwash. The only thing that is equally distributed is poverty.

That even tells you which country is more unequal.

While TZ has a few millionaires, 60% of your population is very poor.
While KE has a few millionaires, 40% of our population is very poor.

Kibaki set up the Kenya privatization commission in 2005. It started work in 2008. These 26 companies have been lined up for sale since 2008.

Ndio kila siku nawauliza.
How comes wanasema Tanzania kuna lower rate of unemployment kuliko Kenya, lakini data zote zinaonyesha kuwa wanaongoza kwa umaskini?
60% ya population inaishi below poverty line, ilhali Kenya ni less than 40%.

Kwani ni kazi gani hizi wanafanya hawalipwi mishahara.
Two words: FAKE NEWS : COOKING DATA

voodoo Mathematics..😂😂😂 Jipe moyo.
Gross National Income (Tz) is greater than that of kenya and equaly distributed..Ofcourse I know you dont know What is GNI..you just jump to subjective statistics as % of middle class
TRUELY DEPLORABLE
