Jubilee is completing what Kibaki was unable to. The reasons to sell each of those companies are listed, and financing the budget appears as a very secondary reason.

Kenya only few own the economy, only 9,000 people control 62% of your GDP, that's why you have bigger population below poverty line, unemployment rate, inflation rate, slums every where, hunger every year and insecurity. It is very easy to understand why you have these problems despite bigger GDP.

There is this clock that tracks live poverty of less than a dollar a day. Bado mnaongoza na 33%.
Statistics za less than $1.9 a day zikitolewa, bado mtaongoza na karibu 60%.
