Sasa tofauti ya haya majeshi yetu mawili ni kwenye uzoefu wa medani:

JWTZ ina uzoefu wa miaka mingi sana. Imechapana na Portuguese Mozambique na Angola, imepambana na Kaburu South Africa na Namibia, Imeondoa Ian Smith Zimbabwe, Imerudisha madarakani serikali ya Seychelles ilipopinduliwa na mercenary army ikiongozwa na Kaburu, Imerudisha madarakani serikali ya Commoro ilipopinduliwa na mercenary army hadi kiongozi wao akakimbilia France, Imeondoa madarakani Nduli Idd Amin Dada wa Uganda, Imerudisha madarakani Pierre Nkurunzinza wa Burundi, pale alipotangazwa kupinduliwa, Inalinda Amani DRC, South Sudan, Liberia, Lebanon, Car etc, etc the list is long

Kenya is undoubtedly a supreme military outfit in East Africa due to its superior weapon hardware and defense spending. Tanzania spent $544 million (Sh56 billion) –half of what Kenya spent on its forces.

Kenya’s Kshs.100 million plus defense expenditure accounts for 2.4 percent of total African military spending. This enormous resource upsets the balance of power in the Eastern African region. This colossal budgetary allocation accords Kenya as the eighth largest Africa’s military spender.

The positive outlook of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) further extends into Somalia war involvement that is supported by 4000 troops.

Since military weapons acquisitions are kept under wraps by the respective military units, it’s difficult to tell the real power behind their uniform. However, some prominent purchases do find themselves in the public domain through credible international bodies.

Kenya Defence Forces had slashed their military weapons purchase sharply since last year by Kshs.1.5 Billion while and their Tanzanian counterparts, Tanzania People's Defense Forces didn’t order for any weapons.

Kenya’s KDF compromise 24,150active personnel, slightly less than Tanzania’s 30,000 staff.

According to Global Firepower, Kenya commands a stockpile of 76 battle tanks, 591 armored fighting vehicles, 25 towed artillery, 30 self-propelled guns, 17 fighter jets, 131 aircraft, and 61 helicopters.

In the same report by Global firepower, Tanzania is confirmed to have an arsenal of 30 aircraft, 30 tanks, and 150 armored fighting vehicles.

Vita ingekuwa ni budget na vifaa vya jeshi tu basi tusingewapiga Uganda. Mvietnam asingempiga Mmarekani. Iran asingemsulubu Miraq. Mchina na DRPK wasingechapana na Mmarekani na South Korea hadi waamue vita iishe bila mshindi. Jeshi zuri ni zaidi ya vifaa na budget na ukiangalia vizuri Kenya budget yenu ipo juu kwasababu ya Somalia sisi hatuna jirani anatusumbua na majeshi yetu yaliopo DRC yanalipiwa na UN kwa maana nyingine yapo kwenye mission na kuongeza uzoefu wa vita at the expense of UN hapa kuna uwezekano hata michango yenu mnayotoa UN yanalipia Jeshi letu bila kujua.

I've lived in SA for a long time.. all the military personnel i have encountered say they have never met a more pathetic army in their lives... "like chickens in the rain" what they say about TZ army... about the struggle u didn't help them fight... u just hid their fighters.. very different from picking up arms.. the Boers would have destroyed you in a second if u tried

Everyone is patriotic and wants to talk well of his country but facts and numbers don't lie.
Kenya has a bigger budget and has more money to spend on training and equipment.

But winning a war is not a very straight-forward issue in our case where Kenya,even though has a stronger army and more equipment not by a very very big margin..maybe 30%-40% stronger

So in case of a war circumstances will matter much.
In a case of a short term war where Tz declares war and is the aggressor,Kenya will find itself on the defensive side and the TZ army will be fighting on Kenyan soil..how well Kenya is able to organize themselves in the shortest time to defend their territory will matter much, also if TZ is able to quickly subdue Kenya completely and conclude the issues at hand will be key, otherwise if the war drags on longer than necessary for more than 4 months issues start to change gradually.
And the vice versa is true in the case where KE is the aggressor and the first to declare war and invade TZ

leading to the second scenario.

A long protracted war, In a war lasting for more than 6 months other issues come into play that are not military related,
An army matches on its stomach, ie the economy, this will determine how long and well the country can sustain a war..
In this regard i don't see Tanzania going far, no offense, you can beat Kenyans in a surprise attack but in the long term, we will strangle you to your death.

However, winning a war and occupying another nation is a different issue altogether. In my opinion, i don't think any of the 2 nations have the capability to conquer and occupy the other.
