A peaceful Somalia means they would get almost all their imports from Kenya. Very good for us.
But that will not come at the expense of stealing our maritime resources.

I'm sure you have a lot of clan issues, but I'm not interested.
The few Somalis in Kenya who are actually Somalians are poor refuges.
The vast majority of those doing business are Kenyans, whose only tie to Somalia is the texture of their hair.

Even the few refugees who have managed to get into good business.. it is not a favor they were doing us. They were helping themselves and I'm sure 99% of them would rather die than go back to Somalia.

And I've not met a single Kenyan-Somali who supports Somalia in this border dispute.
