Mawazo yako ni ile post yako ya awali sio hayawacha tufurahishe hawa mambumbumbu kidogo...hakuna vile nchi yenye port yake inaeza tumia port ya nchi nyingine esp when we have lapsett project, the largest infrastucture project in Africa depending on the pipeline.....Kenya will build its own pipeline eventually...wait and see...in the meantime, wacha hao wabongo wafurahie kidogo...
Are u insinuating that Kenya has absolutely no stake, no say on what should be done with its oil? This is busniness and not politics man. remember you just need a spur to connect Uganda. rembember, Total is to build the pipeline and not Kenya. kenya only needs its profit oil share and taxes. remember Tz snatched the pipeline from kenya not because museven facilitated it, not at all. Total found it more economical to use Tz route and decided to go for Tz route. If your governnment think its more economical to have a pipeline from lokichar to Lamu which will cost $3b than just having a spur to Uganda which will cost $10m, then your government can do it, but Total or any other investor will not do that.

Pole kaka, naona unafight na facts, kama Bomba la Hoima-Tanga limeshatengenezwa, hakuna sababu ya Turkana-Lamu, the shortest ni Turkana-Hoima then Tanga
Gharama.
DRC wataunga bomba lao kwenye hilo very cheap and very secure oil pipeline rout

Man naona unabishana na facts,The oil belongs to the Kenyan people and it will pass through Kenya.....bongolalas we can bet on this if you like
Where is your economic sense my friend?
Tusitimize miradi yoyote cos of compensetion costs and insecutity?
Kuwacompensate hawa land owners will prove a better option in the long run than kutumia miundo mbinu za Ug na Tz.
Brazil haipendi kufanya privatization. Kampuni kubwa nyingi Brazil ni public. Haswa kampuni za mafuta. Hiyo economic strategy inaitwa import substitution strategy ambapo serikali inamiliki majority shares ya kampuni zote. Enda Ethiopia utaona Mabenki na Telecoms zinamilikiwa na serikali. Mexico oil companies zilikuwa nationalised by force in 1938 na nitapost article nikuelimishe historia ya Mexico's oil industry. U.S.A walisema Mexico wako na right to nationalize as long as they compensate the American companies. Kenya pia tunaeza nationalize bora tucompensate.
2) Kuna two major licenses oil companies huwa zinatafuta ili zianze shughuli ya oil mining. Bila production license hata Total wakilia damu they will be at the mercy of G.O.K.
Kenya ikisema pipeline iwekwe Kenya, Total will take it or leave it.
Hiyo pipeline will boost our economy by creating more economic opportunities in our country. Think about the jobs that the pioeline wld create, the business opportunities, Kenyan urban growth and development, investments and the boost for the new port of Lamu and even Mombasa.
The oil money is not the only thing Kenya wants, it is poised to achieve more than that, and it cannot afford to lose it like that to its neighbors.
Kenya wants to make its economy more vibrant. Total knows that such an idea would be very unacceptable to Kenya.
Read the article above.....it is nothing more than wishful thinking. I dont understand what u here are celebrating about.
So time will tell
Acha ubishi [emoji10] [emoji10] wewe !!!!wenye mali siyo wakenya nchi ya Kenya ishauzwa siku nyingi"MAN EATING MAN"Eti wenye mali. Kituko leo sikuwa nataka kuongea lakini lazima nikujibu. Decide with 600 mln barrels? [emoji23] [emoji115]Are u insinuating that Kenya has absolutely no stake, no say on what should be done with its oil?
That may be the case in Tanzania or Uganda, but not Kenya, cos the Kenyan law is very clear on the stewardship and exploitation of its minerals resources.
The fact that the Tullows and Totals and the other mining companies hold prospecting rights to our mineral deposits doesnt confer them the absolute ownership to our mineral resources, thus the licence to dictate to us what to do.
Kenya has huge stakes in those minerals, its opinion on how the business shld be conducted therefore counts alot.
Kenya can decide to cancel their licence to operate in the country, fyi.
Mining in Kenya – the start of a new era? - Lexology
That above is the overview of Kenyan mining legal and regulatory framework. Read it carefully, and see how our mining industry works.
Nobody can ride roughshod over our wishes and aspirations on what to do with our minerals just bcos they are Total. We are not a banana republic like that.
Na wewe ndiye unaejua unachoongelea? Total imeconsult Kenya kuhusu suala hilo na kuafikiana?Hujui unachokiongea wewe, uko hapa unalilia tu haiwezekani haiwezekani, subiri uone mziki sasa, utakuja hapa utasema tumelipwa

All the more reason why it wld be such an undesirable idea to pass it thru the two countries.
It has to be thru our terms, as per our agreements. Kenya has to be involved or else end up being wasted like the other mineral rich countries but with nothing to show for; Tz and Nigeria and DRC being the cases in point.wew hujui kitu. ToTAL has the right to explore, appraise, develop and produce kenyan oil. this is according to the agreement. pipeline is part of development. mko hapa wakenya mnapiga kelele tu hamjui kitu
