It has to be thru our terms, as per our agreements. Kenya has to be involved or else end up being wasted like the other mineral rich countries but with nothing to show for; Tz and Nigeria and DRC being the cases in point.

Nobody will dictate to us what should be done with our oil. The development of this sector will be done via cooperation btwn Kenya and the oil companies, and that condencending attitude u are referring to by these multinational oil companies will not be accepted.

This is known and we experts we call it as 'government back in or goverment partcipation' but remember, but remember, government back in will omly trigger during the production stage. pipeline is part of development stage my friend. your oil will go to hoima-tanga pipeline whether you like it or not.

Tanzania n Uganda have facilitated a fair deal only $12 per barrel unlike $17 per barrel if going to Lamu plus a chance to be blown out by the Al Shaabab. Worry not joining the 6 countries (ET, SS, DRC, UG, TZ n BR) will be the best idea for Kenya uchoyo hausaidii najua roho inakuuma mafuta kupita Tanga. But this is all business.

You neighbors are very unpredictable, esp u Southerners.

It doesnt matter how much it will cost transporting our oil thru Kenya. The pipeline thru Kenya will bring lots of positive economic impacts that Kenya cannot afford to forfeit by submitting to the whims of Total.

Like I said, even Total knows that theirs is an idea that wld be very objectionable to Kenyans, and I doubt if they will proceed with the discussion beyond that boardroom meeting in France.

5$ difference is not a good enuff reason for Kenya to abandon its project, u are more sensible than that.

The Acacia mining Co. itself is not even worth a fraction of that amount, and it is not likely that the company even looted even 10bn$ from Tanzania. The penalty is excessive.

Ofcoss this is nothing but mere chest beating, they will get close to nothing in terms of reparation.

Kenya will not go that route of DRC, Nigeria and Tanzania where those mining companies have manipulated those govts, robbed from the pipo, environmental degradation, stoked civil wars and widespread poverty and suffering.

Minerals have been a curse to most African countries, and Kenya must ferociously guard against being yet another statistic.

total can never build a new pipeline while your fielf size is only 600m barrels. first your oil is not commercial with the current oil price.
