Maersky na hao Tullow, walikuwa na Lisence za utafutaji wa Mafuta na kweli walifanya stage zote nilizozieleza hapo juu, na walipofika kwenye Quantity (reserve estimation) hesabu ikawa inagoma, gharama zilizotumika mpaka walipofikia, wakija kwenye stage za expoitations, transportation, Market, tax, Salaries, Security na other charges ikaonekana kuwa mzigo ulioko chini haulipi ni Hasara, (Kitu cha Kawaida sana kwenye haya mambo ya utafiti wa Mafuta, gas na madini), hapa labda niwaambie kabisa kuwa gharama kubwa ya haya Mafuta ukitoa stages za utafiti(Exploration) ni stage ya Transportation hii stage iko sensitive sana, sasa kitendo cha Maersky na Tullow kujenga Bomba kutoka huko Turkana mpaka Lamu wakajikuta wanacheza kwenye profit margin na hiyo huwa ni risk kubwa sana, yaani bei ya mafuta ikishuka kidogo tu unapiga bonge la hasara, kwao project ikawa sio viable
Sasa Total alipopata go-ahead ya kujenga bomba lake la kusafirisha Mafuta kutoka Uganda kupitia TZ, akawa approached na Maersky na Tullow kwa sababu wao walikuwa hawana jinsi zaidi ya kuuza hizo project zao, na walimfata Total kwa sababu wanajua yeye atakuwa na facility muda si mrefu na pamoja na hiyo reserve kuwa ndogo lakini itamlipa kwa sababu hatakuwa na haja ya kujenga miundo mbinu mipya
Total wakafanya study zao na kuona kweli huo mzigo utawalipa, hata kama sio faida kubwa lakini hawatakuwa wanacheza kwenye profit margin ONLY IF MAFUTA YAKISAFIRISHWA KUPITIA HOIMA
So total keshawanunua hao wakina Maersky na HAKUNA NJIA YOYOTE ATAKAYOFANYA KUSAFIRISHA HAYO MAFUTA ZAIDI YA KUJENGA BOMBA FUPI MPAKA HOIMA KISHA TANGA, kama ni kwenda Lamu basi Maersky na Tullow wangeshafanya, lakini HAILIPI
