Im here everyday mzee mwenzangu.
This saga stinks from the high heavens and I know the old man is turning in his grave.
For any individual who is non-partisan on this matter, its only fair to say, if Kethi was involved
in fraud, then its is the IEBC which is a fraudlent body. It's not like she manufactured her own
registration. Hio karatasi ilitoka ndani ya IEBC na they should be held accountable.
The same BS happens in the Kenyan Immigration offices where Somalis and other nationals who
are not Kenyans, get Kenyan passports everyday and use them to travel. These are genuine
books by the way.
Thats how deep corruption in engrained in the Jamhuri...yet no one is held accountable.

"TNA is IEBC and IEBC is TNA. TNA must have tampered with the voter register, hence deleting Kethi's name," Mr Musyoka told a press conference in Nairobi on Tuesday.
Ms Kilonzo had been cleared by the Wiper Democratic Party, which Mr Musyoka leads, to vie for the Makueni senatorial seat left vacant by the death of her father, Mutula Kilonzo.
Wiper Democratic Party is allied to Cord which lost the March 4 General Election to the Jubilee Alliance. The alliance comprises The National Alliance (TNA) and the United Republican Party (URP). TNA is led by President Uhuru Kenyatta while URP is led by Deputy President William Ruto.
Mr Musyoka said TNA was working with the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to lock out Ms Kilonzo from the senatorial race slated for July 22.
"Of concern is the manner in which TNA, a major player in the Jubilee Coalition, raised the issue of Kethi's voter registration status without the knowledge of the electoral body, begging the question of who is the custodian of the IEBC vote register," he said.
However, TNA secretary general Onyango Oloo denied the claims and told Cord to carry its own cross.
"No scape-goat, no blame game will clean Wiper and Cord's act of trying to hoodwink Kenyans that its candidate presented a legal document for clearance to vie for the seat," Mr Oloo said in a telephone interview.
He said TNA has no business interfering with the will of Kenyans.
Even as Cord was protesting, IEBC on Tuesday gazetted the names of the four candidates who will contest in the by-election.
They are former MP Philip Kaloki (Narc), Mr Urbanus Katumo Muthoka (an independent candidate), Jane Wavinya Muoka (Labour Party of Kenya) and Mr John Harun Mwau (Pick).
Commission chairman Ahmed Issack Hassan also gazetted 125 polling centres in Makueni County ahead of the by-election.
Mr Hassan's notice is dated July 8, the same day the IEBC tribunal ruled on Ms Kilonzo's eligibility case.
On Tuesday, Mr Musyoka said Cord would go to court to challenge the ruling of the IEBC tribunal which disqualified Ms Kilonzo from vying after the slip she used to get her nomination was judged to have been stolen.
"This is a major political war against Cord, disguised as a legal battle," Mr Musyoka said.
One of the lawyers representing Wiper, Mr Daniel Maanzo, said Cord would go to the high court on Wednesday to seek to nullify the gazette notice detailing the candidates.
"I think they rushed to gazette the names to block us from appealing. However, we will seek prayers to nullify the gazettement," Mr Maanzo said. "It appears IEBC, the courts and the executive are working together but let's hear what the courts will say."
Meanwhile, IEBC has written to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to investigate the loss of the voter registration slip at the centre of the controversy.

If anyone for that matter colludes with corruption because it is expedient, they have no case to plead for the wheels of justice to take action. If you cajole with a corrupt system, then even if you cry to the heavens while within the system, it will be meaningless. In this case, how did she manage to vote with only a copy of her I.D. and an expired passport?
..Does this point to many other indicators that many other cord supporters without proper documentation bribed returning officers to vote?? An inquiry into the matter will best fit to unearth this underlying conspiracy.

Jubilee Coalition senators have called for full investigations into the theft of documents from the electoral commission.
The senators said the Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko should begin investigations into the "illegal handling of security documents at the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission".
They said the beleaguered Kethi Kilonzo must explain where she got the document that the IEBC has said was stolen.
"There's a crime in law called handling stolen property. Kethi must explain where she got that document from," said Prof Kithure Kindiki, the Senate Majority Leader.
Addressing a news conference at the Media Centre in Nairobi's Kenyatta International Conference Centre Wednesday, the senators said former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka and other leaders in the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) ought to shed light on the theft of IEBC documents and the allegations on the alteration of the voters' register.
Prof Kindiki said the remarks that TNA deleted Ms Kilonzo's name from the voters' roll were "malicious and alarmist and meant to divert attention from the serious criminal acts of fraud, forgery, and a myriad other electoral offences exposed during the IEBC tribunal hearing".
"Mr Kalonzo must provide evidence of the alleged criminality to the relevant government officials so that action may be taken," said Prof Kindiki.
The senators asked Cord to "restrain itself" from making provocative statements.
Staring at jail
Billow Kerrow (Mandera), Beth Mugo (nominated), Kimani Wamatangi (Kiambu), Emma Mbura (nominated), Kipchumba Murkomen (Elgeyo Marakwet) and Beatrice Elachi (nominated) said Cord had erred, and ought to apologise.
"(Kalonzo) has to apologise to Kethi, her family, Makueni voters, the women of Kenya and to TNA and Jubilee coalition for destroying Kethi's reputation, career, and political future," said Prof Kindiki, also Tharaka Nithi Senator.
"Kethi was a star in law and politics, she is now staring at jail. We don't know yet, because investigations are not done, but someone will have to be jailed," the Majority Leader said.
"It is shocking to see a former Vice President stoop so low. The least he can do is to apologise for misleading a young woman with a promising future. He must stop dragging Jubilee in the mud which they have created. He owes an apology to the women of Kenya," said Ms Mugo.
Mr Murkomen accused the top leadership of Cord of "intimidating and coercing" Ms Kilonzo to vie for the Makueni seat, with the intention of serving their political interests.
"They owe an explanation as to how they forced and dragged a young lady who was happy in her legal practice into politics and to be part of this fraud," said Mr Murkomen.
Mr Wamatangi called the Cord leaders "political manipulators".
"We sympathise with Kethi," said Mr Wamatangi.

I find the logic here warped. Let us first reason on two issues: When does voters begin and when does it end as afar as registration is concerned? It begins when the voter applies for registration and end when the voter has verified thathis/her name is properly registered in the IEBC registers. After that it becomes the IEBc's responsibility to ensure that name remains the register unless removed by reason of death.
In Kethi's case, her responsibility purportedly ended on the day she applied for registration and went home. In her admission she registered illegally using invalid documents-n a Photocopy of her Id and a passport that expired a decade earlier. The law in Kenya does not recognise these two documents for purposes of registration or any other legal transaction.
Two, the purported acknowledgement slip on which she based was illegally acquired. First her registration was long before the document had become a official IEBC document. Two there was no record whatsoever that she ever registered as a voter. Neither did she vote at the March4th, election.
The IEBC has already asked the CID to investigate how she got that acknowledgement slip. Would the IEBC go this far if they knew that the buck will stop with them? If one acquires a document illegally the best they can do is to pray that no one discovers it. Because if it is discoverd , one ha sbroken the law and is liable for penalties. That is what ahppened in the Kethi affair and she knew all along that she was involved in a fraudulent activity.

To me, the IEBC lost its credibility long time ago. They are stooges for the establishment.
