ila lets be frank Arusha kwa leasure facilities ipo juu ya Mwanza yaani number of quality hotels (5 star), pubs, nyama choma joints, shopping malls and other recreation activities like Fredkin recreation center, Themi Falls Leisure park n others! Mwanza mpaka sasa haina golf course hata moja wakati Arusha ina viwili Gymkhana na Ngurdoto Crater na ukichanganya na ya Kilimanjaro Golf though nje ya mji (Arumeru),ni cha tatu! Several conference centers pia! Arusha cultural heritage center! Kwenye number of proper international schools (Cambridge IGSE and IB syllabuses), Arusha inashindana na Dar!
BTW Arusha ina uwezo wa ku-host any kind of tourists from those who want to stay in hotels for many people to those that r strictly private like the ones Abravomich and his entorage stayed i.e. high class lodges (5 star)!

Bro I had a visit on both cities recently.... It's true that Arusha is better in terms of quality hotels... But for leisure pub,club,night clubs,casinos,nyamachoma not really... Mwanza city is far better and the prices are affordable... I've also visited their mall,Aim mall...yah it's good somehow but can it stand along with the likes of Rock city and Mlimani city..? It's just like a shopping center...Even local transport you can't compare the two... Take a look at infrastructure, I appreciate that Arusha city has got a dual carriage of Sakina-Tengeru which was built recently but Mwanza city had dual carriage since 2008 and a 6 lane also though it is a short distance... That conference center in Arusha has been there even before 2000 and there was a need to do so... I think mwanza city are planning to build a big one after the ongoing projects;central market, nyegezi bus stand,marine vessels and airport are completed.Arusha and Mwanza were named cities 2012 and 2000 respectively though Arusha was the first to have things like supermarket, movie theater etc... I got my secondary education in Arusha.
And lastly I think this isn't the right platform for battling Tanzanian cities, It is Tanzanian against Kenyan. So we have to put other things aside.

Haha maybe but my host told me that was the only mall in the city... Or you can give me the names of those other malls...Of course Arusha is famous for nyamachoma but I think the reason behind is that it's the favourite dish for those people.... There are a lot of places selling those nyamachoma in mwanza... I can say we people have different attitude... But the truth is that the more busy the city is,the more places for leisure... And I'm speaking from my experience because I've been there in both cities... And sometimes I see people compare Arusha region and Mwanza city... Arumeru isn't part of Arusha city...Mwanza region apart from Mwanza city has nothing special.. Maybe Sengerema district.
