SBL debuts new beer pack targeting the Lake Zone
IN a bid to meet consumer demand, Serengeti Breweries Limited has introduced a 300ml Pilsner Lager pack targeting Lake Zone’s market exclusively.
The Dar es Salaam based brewer said the new beer pack which was introduced earlier this week with a tagline, ‘Imara kama simba,’ will be available throughout the regions within Lake Victoria at an affordable retail price to allow everyone enjoy its taste and flavor.
“Residents of the Lake Zone are famed for their hardworking spirit and with this new 300ml Pilsner Lager, SBL customers and consumers in the zone can now enjoy a world- class beer retailing at only 1,000/-,“ said BSL’s Head of Beer, Anitha Msangi.
Msangi said the new beer pack’s style of brewing is inspired by the original process of brewing the first Pilsner in Eastern Europe hence consumers are assured of the taste and quality. “Through the years, East African brew masters have maintained this unique process which involves cold filtering the beer giving it that superior liquid clarity and authentic taste,” she added.
SBL is the producer of Tanzania’s first 100 percent malt beer, Serengeti Premium Lager and one of the most popular home-grown lite beers, Serengeti Premium Lite but is also home to renown international premium spirits such as Johnnie Walker, Ciroc, Smirnoff vodka, White Horse, J&B among others.
Incorporated in 1988 as Associated Breweries, SBL is the second largest beer company in Tanzania, with its beer brands accounting for over 20 percent of the market by volume. SBL has three operating plants in Dar es Salaam, Mwanza and Moshi.
Since the creation of SBL in 2002, the business has grown its portfolio of brands year on year. The majority stake acquisition by EABL/Diageo in 2010 has seen increased investment in international quality standards leading to greater job opportunities for the people of Tanzania.
