''In December 1960, we brought Masengo over to Dar es Salaam for a series of shows. The late Julius Nyerere, my friend and colleague, was the guest of honour at the show at Arnautoglo Hall. Colmore had come over from Nairobi for the show and I took the opportunity to introduce him to Nyerere. I took Colmore to Nyerere's house at Magomeni Majumba Sita.

We found Nyerere in a state of distress – he had just heard reports from Congo that Lumumba had been killed.

As members of Tanu and citizens of a country on the brink of achieving independence, we followed the news from Congo with great interest. And the events now unfolding were extremely distressing for most of us. I had a special interest, as at that time I believe I was the only person in TANU who had been to Congo and had first-hand experience of the ruthlessness of Belgian colonialism.

Masengo was also very sad to hear of the news that Katanga, his home province, had under Moise Tshombe seceded from the Congo Republic. So the only thing I can remember of that day when I took Colmore to Nyerere is how sad we all were about what had happened.

However, we took the opportunity while in Dar to have Masengo record his old songs with Tanganyika Broadcasting Corporation.''

Back in Nairobi, both Colmore and Masengo wrote to me, Colmore thanking me for introducing him to Nyerere and Masengo for successfully managing his tour and shows. Colmore told me how grateful he was to Nyerere for showing a firm stand on the Congo problem.

At that time, Masengo was incorporated into High Fidelity Productions as one of the directors. Colmore was a man of foresight; he realised that we would need the support of Nyerere if we were to expand our business in free Tanganyika. Our business interests there were already growing rapidly.

Colmore built a house in Moshi and used to drive over from Nairobi every weekend.''

TANU haikuasisiwa na Abdul Sykes ukamtupa rais wake Julius Nyerere, tena hapa utambue tanu imeanzishwa baada yq miaka 6 ya Julius Nyerere akiwa mwanachama hai na kiongozi wa TAA toka Makelele Uganda akiwa Katibu wa tawi 1948, Kisha akawa katibu wa Jimbo la Magharibi (Tabora), kisha akaja dar na kugombea urais na kushinda... Hivyo hakuwa mgeni na TAA kama unavyojaribu kuwaaminisha watu.

Unaandikaje historia mpya? Yaani utafute wahusika kutoka kichwani! mawazo gani haya!

Historia ya Tanganyika itaandikwa kwa wahusika wale wale, hakuna aliyekuja na kitu kipya wala atakayekuja na kitu kipya.

Wote watazunguka hapo hapo wakiwa na info za ziada ambazo si mpya.

2. 'Andikeni vitabu vyenu vya historia ya Tanganyika''
Kwamba ukisoma tahariri katika gazeti au makala na hukubaliani nayo basi suluhisho ni kuanzisha gazeti ili upinge au urekebishe mapungufu. Insane! insane!

Hatuwezi kuandika vitabu vya historia kila mmoja.
Hilo halizuii watu kusoma historia au wanaotaka kuandika kkufanya hivyo pia
Dunia ya sasa uelewa wa kila nyanja ni lazima si muhimu

Makosa ya zamani eti Dr hatakiwi kuwa mwanasiasa yamepitwa na wakati.
Anayepanga mshahara ni mwanasiasa vipi Dr asijue yanyoendelea katika siasa au kushiriki

Injinia anatakiwa ajue nini kinaendelea kisiasa, sayansi, uchumi na historia

Msomi mzuri ni yule anayejua nini kilichomzungumka kwa wakati husika.

Hivyo kusoma historia ni muhimu kama ilivyo kujua mambo mengine.
Hii si lazima kila mtu aandike kitabu cha histori, insane !

Kwamba usipokubaliana na mstari mmoja au aya moja au chapter, basi hutakiwi kuhoji bali unaelekezwa ukaandike kitabu chako kueleza concern! Inawezakaje

Ni mjinga ansyedhani anapaswa kutazama eneo moja tu.
Hivi utawaezaje kutafsiri trend ya stock market kama hujui kwanini zilianzishwa na lini. Hiyo tu ni historia sasa utakwepaje historia?

Kusema kwamba kila mtu akaandike historia ni njia nyepesi ya kutokuwa na majibu, na ni majibu yasiyo na maana kabisa

Ilikuwa sasa baada ya yale yaliyotokea katika mgomo ule wa makuli 1950 na hamaki zile za wananchi ndipo Abdul sasa akaelekeza macho yake TAA.

Hapa tayari alikuwa keshajiwekea uhalali wa uongozi wa kuwasemea Waafrika.

Haikuwa kama uongozi mpya katika TANU ulizuka tu, la hasha.

Ulitanguliwa na vumbi, jasho na damu.

Hii ndiyo historia ya kuibuka kwa hamu ya wananchi sasa kutaka chama cha siasa.

Ritz wanadhani TANU kaja mtu kaingia ofisi ya TAA New Street kaomba funguo za mlango kakaa kwenye kiti na vuuu! chama cha TANU kimetokeza pamoja na kadi zake na wanachama.

Ndipo ninapowaambia ijue kwanza historia ya mji wa Dar es Salaam ilikuwaje ndipo utaweza kutambua ukweli ni upi.

Achana na hao Yericko Nyerere, nasoma michango ya wafuasi wa Mohamed Said kama Ritz nabaki nacheka tu...jamaa ni msimuliaji mzuri sana wa hadithi na kwa upigaji wa soga hana mpinzani. Nawahurumia wenzetu wanaoamini hizo ngano zake lakini sishangai, kwa kweli kipaji anacho na kawapata wanaomeza tu kila anachoandika bila kutafuna kama FaizaFoxy.

Mengi anayaoandika kwa sasa ni marudio tu kwani tayari tulishayaongelea hapo awali na anachofanya ni kuyaibua baada ya muda fulani ili aendelee kuwa relevant hasa kwa wale ambao hawakufuatilia ya huko nyuma. Uzuri ni kwamba JF hutunza kumbukumbu...hebu ingieni hapa...!

wazee wangu.
Historia yoyote inayoandikwa kutokana na simulizi ni historia ya mapokeo. Sisi wapenda simulizi, hupenda sana kusoma hadithi nzuri zinazosimuliwa na wasimulizi mahiri kama wewe Mkuu Maalim Mohamed Said, kiukweli simulizi zako ni mzuri. Kule mwanzo nilikuita mrongo, nikidhani urongo katika simulizi zako umeutunga wewe, but as days goes by, nimekuja ku realize, kumbe enda ikawa urongo hukutunga wewe, bali aliyekusimulia simulizi za urongo, hivyo wewe umeandika kile ulichosimuliwa ukidhani ndio ukweli, kumbe ulitanganywa na hao waliokusimulia.

Kwa vile wewe ni mzuri katika kufuatilia documentary evidence ya hicho ulichosimuliwa na ukweli unaujua, kwa vile maandishi yako ni maandishi ya a man with a mission, ( reffer

) then nakuunga mkono endelea kuandika vile vile unavuoandika ili ile mission iwe accomplished. Naunga mkono kuandika kwa malengo na sio kujiandikia tuu, na nakiri mimi ni mmoja wa wafuasi wako wakubwa humu jf kwa vile natambua you have "the powers", kitu ambacho ninakiheshimu sana.

Endelea kutulisha kile ulicholishwa kwenye hizo simulizi, ingawa kuna urongo mwingi, lakini pia kuna ukweli mwingi, na kitu kikubwa kwangu sio urongo au ukweli wa makala zako, bali ni ilmu iliyomo ambayo kama sio wewe kutuandikia humu, akina sisi kama tusinge vifahamu visa vingi.
