It's funny how u guys desperately try to sully Kenya's achievements. Kenya became a middle income nation in 2014...it was declared thus in September, I think.
Cameroon, Zambia and Senegal, apart from having smaller GDPs than Kenya's, they also have in fact smaller GDP per capita in comparison.
Remember the threshold for a country becoming a middle income nation is btwn $1026 and $12000, and Kenya had looong surpassed that. Kenya is a Middle Income country, albeit a lower one. The reason the WB and the other reputable financial institutions rank Kenya amongst the middle income countries.
WB Update Says 10 Countries Move Up in Income Bracket.
Kenya even trounces those mentione countries in terms of the Human Development Index.
