- Club and player feel confident that agreement is 5% away. 2 years was the offer, but 2+1 is what is being agreed. Both player and #LFC happy with agreement. Money not an issue. Can think of this one as done ✅
Trent:
- Ongoing discussions but senior people internally are worried Trent is happy to take discussions past 2024, something Richard Hughes is trying to avoid for obvious reasons. Money is a topic, but wider issue is hunger for success. On LFC to sell the vision.
Salah:
- Player wants to sign a new deal, but wants the offer to be respectable. Was not happy with original offer. Would be happy for similar terms to current deal, but due to club allowing this to drag on, he is exploring his options. Salah feels he has more to offer in the best leagues, so Saudi isn't his first choice. Also recently received offer from an MLS team with a huge pay increase.
