Liverpool hopeful of Ings deal as Burnley deny Sociedad interest
Dominic King: Liverpool are hoping to agree a deal with Burnley for Danny Ings that avoid the need for a tribunal when his contract ends. Ings is wanted by Real Sociedad but Liverpool are firm admirers and want to come to an agreement with Burnley.
Chris Wheeler: A little more on Danny Ings and speculation that he has signed a pre-contract to join Real Sociedad in the summer.
Burnley sources insist they know nothing about the deal and wouldn't need to because Ings is free to talk to foreign clubs.
The fact is that Burnley have already made the decision to keep Ings for the rest of the season and have known for some time that he will not sign a new deal at Turf Moor beyond that.
It still seems odd that they are being so detached about the prospect of Ings going to Spain, however, because he is likely to cost English clubs £3million in compensation in the summer compared to the £200,000 Sociedad would have to pay.

Tunafahamu BR likes tiki-taka with pace like you have mentioned lakini kwa upande wangu ningependa kuona time to time our team changes the tactics by containing and expose the opponents wanapokua wamejisahau.

Rodgers: It'll be a quiet end to window

Rodgers told reporters at Melwood: "We'll be very quiet. I said at the beginning of the window, we were looking to keep all the players here, so it'll be a quiet window for us.

"With the group of players we have - and obviously the market dictates it as well - I am happy with how the team and the squad is developing and between now and the end of the season we'll look to continue with that improvement.

"We would want to keep all the players here."

"Certainly, from my perspective, I don't like to stockpile players. I'd rather look at our young players in the Academy and see if we can bring them through.

"That was the case this window with young Jordon Ibe, who has been excellent away at Derby. We needed another player to come into the squad in that area, so rather than looking to bring in a more senior player, we've got young players that were developing here very well. Jordon has come in and looked fantastic since he's been back at the club.

"That's the first thought - look from within. Of course, you always have to look for that star quality and if it's not available, you work with what you've got."
