Raheem is no where near the world class player he wants to be paid like. He is a brillaint talent but is still quite raw And is far from "out of this world". Last season suarez was a 31 goal scoring striker with 12 assists now he was out of this world. 100k a week is fair from the club at this stage in his development, if he declines then for me it is pure greed. Take the contract now perform for another season or two and if he starts to finally be put of this world he will get the top co tract he wants. Look at suarez he showed that if you are the world class talent that lfc will pay the large contract for you.

At this stage i think if sterling rejects then we bench him when ibe gets back! Ibe is just as dangerous!

BR: "As a manager, you want to give everything to the player to help them. But ultimately, if a player or their representative – probably more so their representative – decides that the player needs to move, that is normally what happens.

Writing on the wall maybe?

This still going on? Sterling will hold out for the market rate for a player like him. We don't give it, he goes. If that happens we replace Sterling with some one not nearly as good and pay them accordingly and continue to never get anywhere - but just you wait until our cunning schedule finally works out in 2030. Otherwise we make some kind of realistic effort to try and stay a top club.

The reality is that we are lucky to have Sterling, its not the other way around despite BR going on about whatever waffle he did.

You don't see how Coutinho wouldn't be dissatisfied with being paid half the money Sterling is? Just because he signed an extension already, doesn't mean his head can't be turned and then we'll have the choice of either selling him or giving him a new deal.

Also, José was signed by Comolli and he was fired due to his overpaying on players and giving out too high wages, so it's hardly relevant to the current situation. Almost all of those players have either been sold or are leaving in the summer.

You go on about how player's age should not matter to the wages they are worth, but that is how it is in football. When you give a young player too high a deal, you will pay for it every time they want a new contract. In current climate that is around every 2 years. Give Sterling £150k/week now, in effect more than tripling his wages, and we'll be paying him £300k+/week in a few years' time. And it's not only the one player we are going to have to pay those wages to. That is why you either have a wage structure and hold to it or you will be having this same problem with every player who performs well.

It's not like we are trying to low ball Sterling either by all accounts. We have supposedly already increased our offer to him by over 40% and would make him the 2nd best paid player in our squad next season. £100k/week with added incentives could already put Raheem near Sturridge's wages as the £150k/week the latter is on is up to and not his basic salary according to the likes of Guardian and Telegraph.

Maybe Sterling is worth every penny he asks for, but there is also the possibility that it will cost the club a lot more than just a couple of million per year.

eddy inawezekana Aisee, coz he's premiere league first season's debut wakat yupo ma swansea ulikuwa na mafanikio, nadhani tangu aichukue swansea wakat ipo championship alikuwa na mafanikio nayo, si nasikia alishindaga ile play-off final????

Let sterling go tena abroad and he will not shine

I believe this boy will accept this incredible deal kama BR alivyoiita, anajaribu kutishia tu.

Ila Club imejituma sana kufikia uko ilipofika aiseee, but ye ana turn down tu.

But surely LFC we should not expect LOYALTY from him kuhusu ili, uyu si Flano, uyu kakulia London ukooooo!! Lets hope anatishia tu.

Liverpool's manager said: ‘The aim is to finish as high as we can. Everyone talks about fourth but it's the same every year for me.
‘We do the best that we can do and the Manchester City result at the weekend gives us an opportunity to finish second so our mentality, the run and confidence we have at the moment we are just going to take that into every game and see where it takes us.'

Ila nahisi pia Agent wake ndo anademand bumper pay! Dogo alishawahi kutamka he is happy at anfield na anahope muafaka utafikiwa.

Rodgers added: ‘What we did second half was run more without the ball and that notion for the team that you've got to move not just when you have the ball - you've got to run off it.
‘We talked at half-time about penetration and options for the guy in possession. But Steve came on and offered that calmness. We switched to a diamond in the second half and he came on and fitted into the bottom of that and his calmness and control was important to that.
‘You have to pay respect to the team as well .They've been playing well getting results and over the last 3 months we've been in great form but we have to pay attention.
‘He'd been out for a considerable period of time now but he is fit and you see how important he is when he came on.'

"It's an incredible deal for a young player. I've spoken to Raheem a number of times, he's very, very happy." Rodgers said."He's been granted an opportunity to play here, and they get rewarded – but we're not a club to give way, way above what a player is worth at the certain time of their career.

Sure Mkuu, Yote possible dogo anaweza akasema yuko happy ila behind kaweka figure zake kumfanya abakie, kingine nahisi ni kama mchezo, kuzivuta PSG, Bayern na Real Madrid ktk haya maongezi

Wakuu mnaonaje Kaka mkuu akianza dhidi ya United?????Maana hizi ndio game zake hizi

DS tangu anarudi Kutoka majeruhi, his pace and movements zimepungua, He needs time kurecover, Kakaa nje muda mrefu!!

But, Siyo wa kuanza kwenye big matches, atakuwa anaslow mashambulizi!!

I'd go with RS upfront..

Umeliona ilo Mkuu, but ye akianzishwa bench uona kama ameonewa vile aiseee, ama hata kifanyiwa sub. Hapa kati nilisikia anasema yuko fit kucheza full time

Brendan Rodgers reveals vital tactical switch for Swansea City win

Speaking after the game, the Northern Irishman was full of praise for his players, who reacted perfectly to his changes. He said: "It was a wonderful demonstration of the character and resilience in the team, especially [after] how we played in the first half.
"Any system you play in the game doesn't work unless you have that ability to work, and we just weren't anywhere near it in the first half. But that resilience and character kept us in the game.
"We knew we were going to be better in the second half, we changed the structure of the team a little bit and then I thought in the second half we really dominated the game."
Rodgers, who was quoted by our official website, added: "People who know me and have watched my teams regularly from when I was a youth coach, my teams have played 4-3-3 and 4-4-2 diamond.
"If you look at Swansea tonight, they were a diamond and we were a box in midfield, and they got between us quite well I felt because they've got good players and they passed it well.
"We've prepared that in training for if we have to flip and you see the difference it can make. The players went smoothly into it.
"You push the sides further up, so it's a 3-4-3 but in a different format. We pushed Raheem [Sterling] higher up the pitch onto the full-back, [Alberto] Moreno went right high and then the diamond occupies the spaces in midfield.
"They play with two front players, but we still go three versus two at the back and then that allows us to have the extra numbers. It worked well for us."
The Reds are now unbeaten in thirteen Premier League games, dating back to a defeat against Man United in mid-December. Our run of six away games without conceding a goal has also equalled a 40-year-old record.
Liverpool face the Red Devils on Sunday, and tonight's result means that we could move above Louis van Gaal's side with a victory at Anfield next weekend.
