Pepijn Lijnders provided injury updates on Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister, Diogo Jota and Ben Doak.

Gravenberch was forced off in the second half of Sunday’s draw with Manchester United, while Mac Allister and Jota are continuing recoveries from earlier issues.

Doak, meanwhile, is set for a spell on the sidelines following an injury suffered while representing the Reds’ U21s at the weekend.

“We thought there was really something, he came off during the game and you saw immediately when he came off what that did to the team as well, he was playing really well. Especially against these man-marking sides he plays unbelievable. But he had a scan and it’s only DOMS, which is fatigue, so that’s a really good thing. He will train hopefully today, let’s see where he is. We have to be careful of course because that’s a sign. So that’s a good one.”

Mac Allister

“Alexis is progressing well, he doesn’t have pain anymore, which is a good thing. It was worse than we first thought, but he is progressing well, no pain. Let’s see if we can progress him.”

Jota

“Diogo is doing ball work on the pitch so that is getting closer and closer. But always with hamstring injuries you have to be careful, we always say when they come back give them another two or three days for sure.”

Doak

“That’s not a good one. He teared his lateral meniscus, which needs surgery. That one will take [a] longer time. He is young, he is a fit guy, he is a positive guy so for sure he will come back stronger, and we need him to come back with the same fire he has with the ball, how he was. He can take time and we will wait for him.”

Its just not about United, its about us struggling to break down deep/mid blocks, ni theme ya miaka si chini ya saba sasa.

We had the best front 3 in the whole world for like what? 4-5 years? but tulikuwa tuna-struggle na low/mid blocks, kipindi kile wakati bado hatujapata kazi/gigs za kuuza/ku-share deep tactical pieces, unakumbuka tulikuwa tunajadili sana kwa undani hili suala la ku-struggle against Mid-blocks, na ukiachana na uzuri wa front 3 ya Salah/Mane/Firmino, tatizo kubwa la kushindwa ku-break hizi low/mid blocks, lilionekana na kukosekana kwa varied profiles kwenye our MF, i mean technical MFs, ambao ni wazuri ON THE BALL, because having quick/possessive/line breaking passers, good/strong ball carriers & space-finders, kwenye MF, can help ku-open up any kind of deep/mid block, because inakupa assurance ya kuwa na patience kwenye build-up na patience kwenye kutengeneza chances after chances, see, breaking down deep/mid blocks, inatahitaji uvumilivu/utulivu, it takes time.

We had Mane/Firmino/Salah, but our starting MF was Fabinho/Hendo/Gini, MF ilikuwa haina technical ounce, at one point, we had to rely on Fabinho ku-progress the ball, Hendo & Gini (under Klopp), were very limited footballers, Very limited. we were able to recycle the ball/possession, but it means nothing against teams ambazo zinaamua ku-settle for deep/mid blocks.

We had Keita, Klopp ruined him.

We bought Thiago, Klopp had to instruct him to sit/play slight deeper at LCM, because Henderson on the other right side, wasnt doing his job vizuri.

Now, katika kipindi chote cha Klopp at LFC, we have got the MOST technical MF (Macca, Dom, Gravenberch, Jones, Harvey, Thiago & Baj), but unawatumia kwa stregth zao? NO.

Dominik, spends dakika zote 90, covering our RB, and kusaidia kupunguza transitions traps in the middle, thus covering upande wa DM at times, huyu ni mchezaji ambaye anatakiwa kuwa free, ni mchezaji ambaye ana traits zote za a world class technical MF ambaye ungemuhitaji/unamuhitaji kwenye games kama ile ya United/Luton etc, cha ajabu alikuwepo uwanjani, but kwa role ipi? kwenye game ya Sheffield, baada ya kusogezwa mbele kidogo, na kupewa leseni ya ku-roam freely at LCM, dakika 10 zilizobakia, he scored a goal, but we wasting him at RCM, siyo vibaya kucheza at RCM, because he has a lot of qualities, na hata kama tungekuwa na strong DM, him at RCM, and Macca at LCM, bado ingekuwa sound sana, but kwasasa unamuweka at RCM kwa role ipi? covering for Trent? how can you let a player of Dom qualities kucheza hiyo role? is Trent even a better footballer than Dom?

Then, you have another quality and world class technical MF who is getting wasted as a lone 6.

And, on top of that, Jones-Macca-Dom, was our most balanced MF, sasa when was the last time tumeitumia hii MF? tangu Jones apewe red-card against Spurs, Gravenberch is a top talent, but bado anatafuta his feet, idea ya kumuanzisha kwenye cup/EL games ilikuwa ni nzuri, huyu ni mchezaji ambaye alikuwa hapati minutes kabisa at Bayern, he needs time, especially kwenye games za league, ambazo ni very demanding (na ameishia kuumia, kwasababu he was getting played a LOT).

Yes, Macca, kaumia, so we had to pick MF ya Endo-Gravenberch-Dom, but kama nilivyosema imekuwa hard sana kwa Gravenberch kuji-impose kwenye games za PL, because zinahitaji sana uwe physical & strong kwenye defensive actions, na kwenye upande wa defensive actions ndiyo ambalo anatakiwa kulifanyia kazi zaidi, na siyo tu kuji-impose, ni jinsi gani tunamtumia? he's one of the best young & upcoming "attacking" MF, but ni aina ya players ambao wanapenda ku-operate kwenye big spaces, traits za MF wanaopenda ku-operate kwenye big spaces zinafanana, ni big bonus yao ni kuwa huwa wanakuwa good Creators/Assisters/goal-scorers, but now hatuna minerals za kum-free up, na akiwa free at times, atahitaji spaces/pockets, za ku-move the ball/create chances/hurt the opponent, kitu ambacho hatuwezi offer now, but hakuna interchangbles/switches za RCM-LCM, zitakazoruhusu kum-free up Ryan, as our RCM is playing so deep AU ana-cover lapses za Trent, ambaye anakuwa ame-invert ili "ku-create", sasa imagine Trent aki-invert, Ryan anakuwa wapi? maana for past few games, nimeona Trent anaingia na ku-sit kabisa at 6.

At times, wakati msimu unaanza, Dom ndiyo ana-drop deep ku-create a pivot na Macca, kitu kilichokuwa kinafanya kazi vizuri tu, though role ilikuwa ni very limited but Dom bado alikuwa na uwezo wa ku-impact games vizuri, because he had the whole pitch ahead of him.

Sasa, kama solution yetu ya kumsaidia Trent kwenye tatizo lake la kuzuia, ni kumtumia Dom as a shield, then we are doing it all wrong.

Then let Dom & Trent play interchangeably, between CM & RM, ina-solve a lot of issues, but since Klopp atalazimika ku-deploy a pivot, hawezi fanya hicho kitu, yupo radhi, a-limit abilities za players, ilimradi tu aendelee na suala la lone 6, na huwa sielewi why huwa ana-target pivot oriented players kwenye market.

Tumekwama kwenye suala la ku-unblock deep blocks kwasababu ya Klopp kuwa so naive, na kwasasa tuna profiles za kuweza kabisa kuzifungua deep blocks, but he wants to make baadhi ya players happy, so we will continue to drop points because of this.

Duuh hii sijawai kuistukia aisee kumbe udhaifu wa TAA kuzuia unambana dogo Domy kushambulia na kua free kwa kua sasa kazi yake inakua kulinda spaces anazooacha TAA akisogea juu hii ni tatizo kubwa kwetu.. Huyu dogo Macca sio wa kutumika hivyo in fact huyu Klopp alitakiwa kopi n pasti KDB anavyotumika pale Manchester city.

Klopp ni mbishi sana huyu mzee anachokiamini basi ndio hivyo hivyo kitakwenda hakuna namna wakati mwingine yes na wakati mwingine no na hapa ni NO kwa kua tuna sare kadhaa ambazo on another day nu ushindi lazima Klopp akumbali ipo tatizo mahala...
